Great for a day out. Gardens lovely to walk in the fairy garden a treat for adults and children alike. The grounds are divided into pottery and falconery areas and the restaurant is good. If visiting interiors of historical houses is your thing your in for a treat.

I took my children to the playground at Russborough it's great and practically free, a very modest fee to park on the grounds. There are miles of walking trails throughout the estate. There is a lovely cafe, tourist shop and the toilets are clean and well maintained. If your lucky you'll be able to get some yummie ice cream on... More

Located near Blessington, Russborough House was designed by Richard Castle who was also responsible for several other great Irish houses, including Powerscourt and Leinster House. While the house itself is fascinating and very much worth taking the tour, the art collection of Sir Alfred Beit is really the main focus of any visit. Sadly, repeated robberies late in the 20th... Went here with my two nieces and my partner and we all had a great day. The land is amazing with a great maze, playground, ice cream parlor and a lovely cafe. We didn't go for a tour but we roamed the grounds and the kids had a ball. We had some lunch in the cafe and the quality of... More

This was a last minute decision, simply for a light meal and coffee. We ended up staying for a couple of hours exploring the walking trails and the on site artists. Especially loved the Hennessey & Bryne Marble Works and the Blacksmiths Gallery and workshop. Unfortunately we didn't arrive in time to tour Rossborough House. An excuse to come back... More

Thank you for your comments which we really appreciate. During the Summer we have guided tours every day but from now until Christmas we just have guided house tours on Saturday and Sunday afternoons so do hope you might come back later this year or when we reopen in March 2017. More

We were in the area and decided to take a guided tour of this stunning, Palladian mansion. Built in the 1740s and now in pristine condition since cleaning, the plaster ceilings were superb as were the marble fireplaces, beautifully furnished and decorated rooms and stunning art collection. The house is partly closed at the moment - in particular the upstairs... More

This is a nice place for a stroll and has a cool playground. Kids can play while you have a cuppa! The rhododendron walk is really nice and maze is worth a go too. Food in cafe is good but a bit overpriced in my view.
