    Meerkat Experience.
Wow what a lovely day we had on the 3rd of August at Chew Valley Animal park. We have been before with my daughter and now two grandchildren who are 3yrs & 9 mths old. The 10 minute down pour did not spoil our day. The park looked amazing, had a lovely lunch in the restaurant but was able to sit outside which was great. The playground for the children is wonderful, toilet facilities are good and there are hand washing stations round the park. My granddaughters even the little one loved the petting of the guinea pigs etc. and of course feeding the goats is great. I had from my family for my 70th birthday a "Meerkat Experience" at the park. It was truly amazing. Thank you Paul for all your help with me being disabled and providing me with a chair. I cannot get over how wonderful the experience was, made all the better with Paul's knowledge of the individual Meerkats and general information about the Meerkats. Of course the star of the show was Melvin. My daughter and children go quite often and I believe you can buy a yearly pass. I am looking forward to my next visit.

    Nice little place
A nice way to spend a few hours... Loved the interaction you can have with the animals. The only down side was the play area had nothing much for older kids and could do with updating. Fox enclosure looked a bit small!

Nice little animal park and get to have up close encounters
Good for a day out. Only slight complaint is the food service hence loss of one star. Ordered a pizza and several other dishes. We were not told the pizza are made one at a time and we were 7th in line. So all other members of our party had eaten before the pizza was even prepared so we had a refund and one person left unfed. All animals have nice clean enclosures and a nice touch to be able to pet a pig and feed the goats and deer. Will be back but will opt for something other than pizza, although it did look nice on other tables.

    Interesting animals, good food.
Great place to see lots of different animals! The pets corner allowed us to hold mice, Guinea pigs and rabbits and you can see camels, Pygmy goats and the favourite, meerkats. Also ate pizza in the restaurant which was actually really good! They have a large gas fired pizza oven and the dough is fresh and toppings plentiful, recommend eating whilst your here…

    Fabulous! Full memory making experience!
What a fabulous place, welcomed as family, stayed in a beautifully clean cottage, had the run of the zoo whenever we wanted, petted lots of small furries and even got to hand feed the Long Tail Limas. Everyone had time to chat, and a classic car show to boot! Would highly recommend for couples or families

    Great visit! Would recommend
Great selection of animals but quite sadly, the cafe stole the show! Amazing wood fired pizza that was probably as good as a pizzeria! We visited as 3 adults, great entertainment for a few hours. We took advantage of the petting zoo, which was an awesome activity (considering it was included in the entry price!)

    Capybara experience fantastic.
We visited as a family of 4. Children aged 7 and 10. We LOVED the small animal petting barn. We got to hold rabbits, guinea pigs, rats and mice. The staff were lovely making sure everyone had a turn with the animals. We had some lovely pizza in the cafe fantastic. We loved going in with the Pygmy goats so therapeutic. We had our capybara experience for our children ( book well in advance as it’s very popular) it was fantastic plenty of time to feed and and stroke them. Our lovely staff member Chloe was amazing with my children she answered all their questions and told them all about the capybaras. Lots of other animals to see. The only thing I would say is possibly a slightly bigger play area. We loved the gift shop too lots of choices. Lots of hand washing stations around too. They gave us animal food for the goats and the deer. 🥰

    Incredible
We had a capybara experience today for me, my partner and my son. My son has a huge interest in them and it was absolutely incredible. You get so hands on with them and the keeper we had was brilliant and her and my son were sharing facts. We had a long drive but was greeted by a lovely girl in reception got free animal feed and a meal voucher each. The park was lovely and you can see the animals are well looked after. It is a hidden gem and I would recommend it to everyone. The restaurant was beautiful and the staff again were lovely. The pizzas are delicious, the best pizza we have ever had. We will definitely be back and will do an experience again. They have made my little boys day he hasn't stopped talking about it

    Great day out
We arrived extra early to the park before our capybara experience. We got to feed the deer and goats as well as hold some of the smaller animals like the rabbits. We had an amazing experience feeding and petting the capybaras, the pizzas were really good and all the staff were lovely. The animals looked happy and well cared for. We would definitely come back and do some more of the animal experiences!

Had an amazing day here today! So many animals to see. We loved animal encounters ! You get to interact and hold loads of the animals.

We did a meerkat experience and i cant rate this highly enough. Well worth the money. We got to feed the meerkats, play with them and ask questions . We didnt feel like the experience was rushed at all. The girl running the experience was so lovely and knowledgeable. My son loved this experience and its certainly given us memories we wont forget.

For a smaller animal park this is amazing value for money. If you are thinking of paying extra to do an animal experience then do it. Worth every penny.

Me and my friends went here as a fun day out together last month. My poor friend had to pay £30 for a taxi to start with bc it’s in the middle of no where! Then we soon learnt they did not take student discount and the prices are atrocious. It was 12.95 each and they changed £2 for a tiny bag of feed for the animals! This was not okay considering it’s such a small place. Then the restaurant I cannot fault. We received great service and we had the best food. Was a little bit overpriced but still worth that. Then we walked around the park we were appalled. There was unsafe ground all around the park and my friend tripped twice in wellies which we thought was appropriate! The camels enclosure is just about big enough on the outside however they were locked in. This is not ok and they looked very uncomfortable being 2 big mammals in an enclosure so small. Some animals were out of view which I’m assuming is for health reasons considering how dirty some enclosure were. There was staff everywhere working yet I did not see any interaction with customers. The talks we went to were not on or they didn’t know what they were saying. The goats were in a terrible sized enclosure for the number of them and the pigs were so dirty you’d think they’d catch a disease. Personally, I think the owls was the worst since the enclosure is so small and doesn’t not have a high ceiling for them to fly high enough. I am not happy with my experience here. And will not be returning. Please do not go here and pay ridiculous prices just to see animal abuse!
