Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Show: Giovanni’s Let Me Entertain You is thrilling, funny and the best thing in the theatre right now. It is not to be missed!

Seats: so comfortable! Lots of leg room. Don’t sit far right of stalls or far left, you can’t see the whole stage.

Bar: efficient. Good range of drinks. They set up a barrier to organise a queue - only problem was it took up most of the foyer!

Toilets: enough women’s to make queue move very quickly.

Fun fact: there is a bar you can get to without going outside after the show

Staff were very friendly and helpful directing us (wheelchair user) to the alternative entrance and explained how the lift worked. Went right to our seats at the back of the stalls but it was raised so we had a lovely view and the circle above didn’t block our view at all. Lovely theatre, would visit again if there was something we were interested in seeing.

Was seated in row N in upper circle. Great view of the stage but feel as if these seats were the last to go in and were squeezed in. If you are over 5ft5 you will have trouble being comfortable. We saw queen of the night, Whitney Houston tribute. Although the show is excellent. The sound quality is really really poor, it barely reaches the back. I saw the same show at Warwick theatre and it felt like a proper concert. We did let the lighting guy know how was behind us, but nothing changed so that was a pity. There was not only zero air conditioning for a sell out theatre, they had the heating on FULL WHACK. It was around 29 degrees in there which was so almighty uncomfortable it’s was barely bearable. They close the bar and snacks during the performance? Seems strange you wouldn’t want bar traffic to trickle during the 2 hour show if you have the bar staff working a shift. Also told we couldn’t dance if we had seats? Well there is no standing section in the theatre and we were invited to get up and dance. So you end up doing so in the fire escape? Also odd. Just don’t think they have it all worked out well to cope with a full theatre and and interactive show. But honestly, the heat was something like being in the colluseaum in the middle of summer outdoors. Makes it really uncomfortable in there.

Apart from that. Queen of the night is a brilliant show.

Went to see House of JO JO. Show was fabulous (what I could see of it). Terrible seating and poorly designed all round I could only view about 65% of the show. Could not select tickets spent over £200 for 4 of us. Will never return to this venue but would see the show again.

Visited the New Theatre last night. It was fabulous. Entry was easy, service was quick and efficient. Staff were all smartly dressed and very polite and helpful. The whole venue, including the toilets were so clean and well maintained it was impressive.

The show itself (Frankie Valli) was fabulous, with the audience loving every minute. We were rocking in the aisles.

All in All money well spent and after being slightly reluctant to visit venues, we felt comfortable in doing so last night.

We are already planning our return visit.

Thank You New Theatre x

We had booked for shows at the New Theatre last year, unfortunately early this year circumstances changed meaning we needed wheelchair access. From phoning the booking office to actually attending the shows Mercury, Queen tribute and A Beautiful Noise - Neil Diamond, the kindness and support from the staff was first class. A big thank you to all involved and to the kind people attending who helped us during the evening. The shows were extremely good and, thanks to all, we had very enjoyable evenings.

Really nice theatre, the layout of the seats was great. Our seats were on the balcony giving us a good view. The show, Cirque Enchantment was good although the main singer sounded screechy (sorry) and the coffee tasted horrible.

Visited today to watch the Aladdin Panto, was not impressed at all - disappointed,
I decided to pop a comment on Facebook respectfully how painful it was to watch, the new theatre peterborough decided to remove the comments for what I believe is to continue selling tickets! Really disappointed in what they done which now reflects the Google review. I have asked kindly for the comments to be re-posted by them to reflect the truth opposed to deleting comments which they may feel would put people off which genuinely I would advise anyone looking to go, to save their money and probably look at another panto nearby.

I hope the theatre do the right thing as add the comments back on!

A very nice place to see a show and the staff are helpful and attentive. However the drinks, namely the bottled beer is way overpriced. It’s a shame that they feel the need to rip off customers in this way
