You probably know us as a lovely place for children to see the animals, run around in beautiful countryside and let off steam in our state-of-the-art play barn - but there's a lot more to Sacrewell.

With the help of £1.4 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund, our 18th century water mill is being transformed into a national centre for milling excellence - take a tour and find out how your great-grandparents got their daily bread. Foodies can also join a tractor trip around the fields of our tenant farmers Riverford Organic Farms (it's on our land).

Then there's our wildlife trail, scavenger hunt and two new rambles - if you're lucky, you'll see the rare red kites and brown hares. Seasonal events range from our Lamb National to ploughing with vintage tractors. You can even meet a film star - some of our shires appeared in War Horse.

In our 50th year as a charity dedicated to agricultural education, we continue to welcome students of all ages who want to learn traditional skills and get an insight into rural life. We hope that all our visitors not only have a great day out but feel they've learned something too.

We got the yearly membership and we as a family have never been disappointed in fact it is up for renewal and we will be definitely renewing. We always find it super clean, fun and friendly. Days like today they super exceed our expectations, during school holiday times they provide activities alongside all the normal things to do as in... More

We visited Sacrewell after passing countless times and were impressed by the advertising and events they hold. We made a weekend of it and camped at the attached campsite. As part of the camping ticket we got reduced entry into the Farm Park. I have to say, if I had paid the full entrance fee for myself, my husband and... More

£18.75 for 2 adults & 2 children so a day out on not a lot. Kids loved it, we loved it. Plenty to do although most of the 1/2 term activities were scheduled for the following week which was a little odd. Not too busy & plenty of animals to see. Tractor ride & food for feeding a hit. Playbarn... More

Friendly staff, a room for us to leave our packed lunches and to eat in. Tractor rides and food to feed the animals. Plenty of toilet facilities and time to play in the children' s outdoor and indoor play areas.

Sacrewell is a wonderful place to visit. It is part of a working farm and has much of historical interest as well as a good cafe for meals or something lighter. The young folk had a great time as did we. There are opportunities to get up close to the animals under safe conditions.

Been a few times now this has to be the most disappointing. Only a few animals out, goats, a sheep, donkeys. They had baby piglets which was nice to see. But no horses or other Pigs like there used to be. Soft play area good for young children, but needs a cafe for the adults.

Arrived just after opening. The soft play area was good and the children enjoyed playing. There were a few animals but not quite what I was expecting.

Took our 10 and 16month girls today and we all loved it. Weather was cold and foggy but after wrapping up that didn't stop us all enjoying the day. Was lovely to walk around the farm and my oldest girl loved learning about the old mill. Entry is very reasonable compared to other farms. We will be returning again soon

We took our 6 year old grandson to Sacrewell for, our first but his umpteenth time, this year and I would say what a brilliant day out! I am disabled so am on a mobility scooter but everywhere is on "the flat" and easily accessible. We had lunch and thought we would perhaps only have a sandwich but the cooked... More
