There is something for everybody at Ferry Meadows.

Imagine somewhere...

There is something for everybody at Ferry Meadows.

Imagine somewhere beautiful, safe and unspoilt where you can walk, cycle, play, horse-ride, ride a train, go fishing, exercise the dog, jog, push the buggy and explore endless meadows, lakes and woodland all less than three miles from Peterborough's busy city centre.

We also offer three play areas catering for different ages and an events programme throughout the year with lots of activities for children.

If all of this isn't enough to keep you entertained the Visitor Centre stocks a wide range of toys and games along with gifts, souvenirs and sweet treats.

After all this activity you can relax at one of our cafes, find a nice spot for a picnic or fire up on one of our barbecue stands.

New for 2014:

On 11 April Lakeside at Ferry Meadows will open its doors to Park visitors. Lakeside provides a hub for activity and relaxation within Ferry Meadows as the home for Nene Outdoors, a new watersports and outdoor activity venture and Lakeside Kitchen & Bar, a contemporary dining and function venue.

A new and exciting play area is set to open in early April. Aimed at younger children the new Otter playground will provide an exciting play space to explore and enjoy.

Pretty much what it says on the tin! Wonder round the lakes on concrete paths, or venture off the beaten track through the fields it's up to you. The restaurant/cafe is lovely servicing up simple but good food, snacks, great cakes and great coffee as well as soft and alcoholic drinks.

I come here many times a month and always find something different. It's good to come in different times of the year so we can see the changes in the vegetation and the different animal appears. This time I found a spot that I didn't know about. Just Brilliant!!! " Cedars of Lebanon "

Ran through and around the park twice during a trip to Peterborough. Was always a family friendly destination that I recall as a child, and I was pleased to see that things haven't changed! Ample opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts to engage in running, hiking, biking, sailing, outing or fishing, else take in some of the historic architecture including a fascinating... More

This park is beautiful. Well maintained and very clean and tidy. A lovely place to walk the dog, picnic, outdoor activities, barbecues and then a nice sit down in the water sports cafe. Definitely a well spent relaxing afternoon.

We went here really by accident after having to cancel a trip to Peterborough Cathedral due to a funeral being held there. So glad we did. Although it was a cold, but sunny, February day there were plenty of people about and yet it was one of the most peaceful places I've been. It just felt so calm, nobody was... More

Please be aware that even if you pay for the parking (minimum £1.50 for 1hour) as we did on our visit, you may still get a parking penalty notice which can be differcult and time consuming to rectify. Also try to avoid the toilets especially the ones at the opposite side of the park to water centre. When we went... More

Hi Catherine Apologies for your recent difficulty with the parking system. There are very rare occasions where a glitch in the system occurs that can then accidentally cause a parking charge notice. We hope that Park with Ease, who installed our parking system, were able to sort this out for you without too much time taken. We are also sorry... More

Love ferry meadows for a walk with our dog as the big lake is safe, shallow and clean - ideal for a paddle
