Queen Victoria’s 50th Jubilee Monument (1887) Sited at one entrance to Crescent Gardens Park. A bit outside the main ‘tourist’ area, near the Railway Station. Worth a look.

Walked particularly to see this statue only to find it quite hard to assess as a work of art or even as the monument to a great old Queen that it is. As a work of art, it's set too high in its closet miniature...More

Not in the central tourist area, but the monument is worth a visit as the Queen is in good shape. If you arrive by train our bus it's located to the left and down the road by the Victorian Shops.

Whilst I can admire the work and craftsmanship that went into creating the monument, it's not particularly outstanding. That said it looks better at night when its lit up. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

On our walk around Harrogate we came across the Queen Victoria Monument which is set in a little open space opposite the station. There are nice flowerbeds surrounding it and the nearby buildings and shops are very attractive.

Set in a small garden area and a bit of Gothic architecture that helps offset the dismal new Harrogate Station that would depress most visitors without this monument to past standards of good taste :-) It is well cared for and acts a meeting place...More

Good statue next to some pretty gardens with plenty domed benches for having rest or a snack. Central to Harrogate town and lots of local shops and attractions.

Standing in the middle of a small garden area the statue of Queen Victoria is very imposing, it is great to see these kind of monuments in towns across the country paying tribute to our history and heritage.
