We enjoyed our golf on two consecutive days. The pro shop staff were most helpful and the greens staff were very polite.

Business meeting with colleagues, excellent setting, food facilities, plentiful tea and coffee. Good value for money.

My and my husband went to the driving range, just for a little bit of fun whilst staying at the hotel. We aren’t golfers so it was the first time for both of us. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Stunning location and views. We had a nice lunch in the clubhouse at a reasonable price. Had a few drinks outside on the patio area. Really enjoyed a few hours watching the various golfers games.

Not sure where to start really regarding my whole experience. The golf course I will say is in great condition and was enjoyable to play if it didn't take us as a 2 ball over 5 hours to play, I had previously been told about the horrific course schedule here before by a friend however I didn't expect a normal weekday to be this ridiculous, really made the golf not very enjoyable waiting around for so long. Both before and after the golf experiences in the clubhouse were less than pleasant it really isn't the nicest of places considering the hotel is so lovely, a rather tacky clubhouse and very expensive for golf, food and drink. The staff that morning/afternoon were not very welcoming in the pro shop and also in the clubhouse which wasn't very nice coming from a lovely golf club where we are members we were shocked at the service. You can clearly see the whole idea of the place is to make as much money as possible with prices for drinks and food and the packed golf course schedules. Personally I would not mind paying extra for these things if we got a nice round of golf that didn't take so long and got a lovely experience in the clubhouse but this just did not happen, we definitely will not be returning for many years until it hopefully is all sorted out.

My memory of Rudding is as a caravan park...how it has changed! Very nice hotel, great facilities including a really nice golf course, restaurant is top notch. Harrogate nearby for trips. Well worth a visit.
