Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Harry’s enthusiasm and passion for the history of Harrogate was infectious. Harry took time to get to know everyone on the tour, his delivery was entertaining and very informative. His devotion to Leeds utd was only matched by his passion for the spa town of Harrogate and it’s wonderful history. we would highly recommend you spend 80minutes of your trip to Harrogate joining Harry on his walking tour. Even though we live in Devon we look forward to joining Harry on his Boozy tour in the future

Harry is an energetic, gregarious, amusing and knowledgable guide. On a wet and windy Saturday he took 6 of us around the town and brought it to life. He’s also very good at advising on other things to do - make this your first port of call on a visit. And it’s genuinely free - no pressure for a tip at the end. We had to call him back to give him a well-earned reward.

Simply the BEST walking tour I have ever been on (and I have done them everywhere). Diligently researched and passionately delivered by Harry who clearly loves Harrogate and Yorkshire as much as anyone ever has.
Performed with the flair and panache of a Shakespearean actor, he is as engaging and fascinating as the stories he tells.
If I ever come back to Harrogate doing Harry’s tour will be top of my itinerary (provided that Liverpool beat Leeds on the opening day of the season).

A superb tour of Harrogate led by a very enthusiastic Harry. Harry made everyone feel involved in the tour, greeting everyone and remembering their names throughout.
Saw parts of Harrogate that I had not seen before.
This is a must do for anyone visiting the town.

Such a wonderful experience for our party spanning three generations and our small behaved pet dog. Learnt so much about Harrogate from the charismatic and engaging Harry, leading the group with such energy and passion about sharing his knowledge and love of the local history. This is a must-do for any visitor to this beautiful spa town, and please do carry some notes for a generous tip for volunteer Harry; it is a free tour, but you will definitely want to pay over and over as it will be money; well spent!

A very enjoyable tour. As people gathered, Harry introduced himself to people, spent time getting to know names of everyone and asked a few questions and remembered all the names throughout the tour. Lots of interesting information, delivered in an engaging way. Definitely recommended

Harry is a storyteller if ever there was one. I immensely enjoyed his company for the short hour and a half we spent on this tour. It is so apparent that he loves what he does and his enthusiasm is contagious. The sheer delight of it all made me forget my camera and just enjoy being present. (I went back later to my favorite stops to get photos lol).
Thank you, Harry, for providing this free service to everyone. What a delightful experience. I would do it again just for the fun!

Harry was very knowledgeable and very entertaining with his delivery. He spoke to everyone in the group and got to know us all personally, remembered everyone’s name and chatted all the way. He does this free of charge. He only asks for a small donation but not required - by the end of it you want to pay. A must do activity in Harrogate! Thanks Harry!

Well what a fantastic tour this is. Harry is simply fantastic - enthusiastic, knowledgable and funny.
We joined his 1330 tour last Wednesday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It lasts 80 minutes and is conducted at a steady pace. Harry gets to know your name and tries to speak to everyone as you walk round as well as delivering excellent commentary on the history and geography of Harrogate. Despite doing this 4 times a day he still makes it sound he is saying it all for the first time.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and was happy to give him a decent tip at the end.

This free tour is absolutely brilliant. The tour guide Harry is SO friendly and personable, it feels like he is creating a personalised tour just for you. With a smooth and engaging speaking style, Harry took us around Harrogate showing us hidden treasures and the stories behind the more obvious highlights of the town. We were only here for a day so this was the perfect thing to do. He clearly loves Harrogate and imparting knowledge, and welcomes (and answers!) questions on a variety of subjects. Highly recommended and please tip as it’s top quality.

Thankyou

Hi Jacqueline,
Sorry to have not back to you sooner!
As yet my Winter tour dates have not been finalised but I will have an answer for you in the next few weeks! If regular tours are not running however, I would be delighted to organise a free private tour for you on the 3rd November 2018.
While you are here in Harrogate I would definitely recommend visiting the Valley Gardens with there beautiful New Japanese gardens. The Pump Rooms museum is a excellent way to discover Harrogates past as well as the beautiful Mercer Art gallery.
If you have the opportunity to visit the Turkish Baths or see a show at the stunning Royal Hall then these are also great for really getting to know what Harrogate has to offer.
I hope this has been helpful and I promise to get back to you in the near future regarding my winter schedule.
Thanks for getting in touch and I look forward to speaking to you soon.
All the best,
Harry
