What a fascinating insight into the history of Harrogate. We paid £3 each entrance and stayed an hour and a half which included a tour of the wells on site: good value in our opinion.

A must for visitors to Harrogate. An excellent history of the old sulphur and magnesium wells that the wealthy came to Harrogate for to 'take the waters'. There is an old sulphur and an old magnesium well in the basement, which you can visit with...More

The museum is based in a historic spa building and I expected to experience more of the spa that was once there, such as the smells, the taste, actually being able to see some actual spa water that was once there. Instead there is a...More

A quick simple way to lean about the history of Harrogate as a spa town supported by a few choice exhibits, plus also a few other oddball exhibits (the Egyption collection, the bikes and more), £4 each. Odd but I liked it.

Although a small museum we found the story of how Harrogate was build up around the discovery of the health giving spring waters was very interesting and well displayed.

I'm sure this place is great. It looks interesting from the outside, but we didn't get to go in. The council web site contradicts the visit Harrogate website on the Sunday opening hours and there is no real clarity of when it's actually open at...More

The Pump Room museum is interesting and is clearly laid out, with the Egyptian section being particularly fascinating - but the whole thing just seemed to be disappointingly small.

A lovely way to spend an hour on a wet day. Very friendly and welcoming staff, a fun Easter quiz for my daughter, and informative displays for grown ups.
