WHAT IT IS. A shelter for Welsh refugees, established 1136. The rest of the estate is of a later date: a 14-15 c. stable, 15 c. barn, 16 c. range and Victorian farmhouse. STATUS. Following conservation efforts, now fitted with lawns and modern lighting and backstage offices. WHAT'S ON. LLanthony-inspired artwork on display.

We go for a walk around the grounds once a week or so and they are beautiful. There may not be loads to do unless you book a tour but if you passing by why not pop in and have a walk around.

Really interesting group visit with superb guide who knew the history inside out. Very impressive piece of restoration and great to see it used as a ‘live’ facility being. available for events as well as day to day use by the college next door. A hidden gem.

Interesting displays of life at this historic site. It has been restored to a very high standard from the old scrapyard it was. Friendly, helpful Guides are on hand to explain the history of the site. Well worth a visit if you are in Gloucester, easy walking distance of Gloucester Quays retail park and the town centre. Free to walk around the grounds and lots of information boards to read.

Sorry, the rating is near meaningless as I couldnt get in. Apparantly it is open the first sunday afternoon of the month (only) so do checkthe web site before you visit. It looks to be fabulous Parking in the pub seems like a good option, and they do vegan meals. Basically anyone can get. 20% discount though they do 2 for one if you go in even numbers.
