This is a very lovely local spot. I take my grandchildren here for picnics, and to feed the ducks. A very tranquil spot. (I believe it was once part of the gardens of a private residence Barnwood House.

Beautiful open space, Majestic trees, great grounds ideal for anyone. Great for kicking a ball around or flying a kite! Dogs love it too. Many trails to follow too. The best time is Autumn when everything looks stunning with the burnish bronze to orange colours.

Hi. What buses from central Gloucester serves this park? Or is it 20 mins less downhill walk? Thanks

Hi, the Number 10 bus goes from Gloucester town, stops on the Barnwood road, then you'll cut through Cherston Court to access the arboretum. It's a fairly long walk from Gloucester town, maybe half and hour or so.
