While I would not recommend the beef burger here, I do recommend the hot rock's. For those of you asking "hot rock", you have a very hot and I mean hot piece of rock on to which your piece of steak is then placed, with an extra side plate, you can take the meat off, and then cook it as... More

We chose this pub for lunch and enjoyed an excellent meal of scampi & chips. We had to wait a little while for the food but that was obviously due to the fact that the food was being cooked to order and was thus perfect when it reached the table. The pub also has an excellent selection of draught beers.... More

Went to the Pub for a beer and lunch. The whole pub had 3 tables occupied and one person to service. There was one lady in the kitchen. We paid and picked up our beer. So far it was good. Then people started to come in and soon there were 45 to 50 people in the pub, still being served... More

Our apologies that they feel let down by the experience,we normally have 4 staff on and it was explained to them there was a wait as 2 staff had failed to turn up for work. The Chilli is the same as we sell every day and we sell approximately 30/40 a week ,but obviously people have different tastes. At no time did... Middle ages original ale house specialising in Real Ale and home cooked food. Step back 400 years when you enter and ask Martin what he has to suit your tastes, he is a real ale man himself and knows how to keep that perfect pint!!!! Ask to visit the cellar bar.

This roomy pub grade 1 listed pub has a bar upstairs & downstairs. It was the Whittington family town house until 1546. Lovely friendly 10 year old pub dog called Sasha. 4 real ales on, all were lovely. Food is off the black grill menu. Serves dessert too. Sunday roast 12-4pm is only £6. Quiz every Tuesday at 8pm, £1... More

Historical building and very friendly staff make this a great place to go especially when the annual Blues Festival is on, (July) Sometimes there's indoor music events even when the Blues Festival is finished. The advertised garden adjoining is not really a garden but a concrete hardstanding with benches to sit and socialise. There are some tall trees to the... More

My husband and I were returning to South Wales on a coach trip and were dropped off in Gloucester on the way back to have a break in our journey. I have mobility problems, and as there was a slight gradient from the carpark to get to the town centre and having stopped several times we found ourselves outside this... More
