This course is one of two located at the Breadsall Priory Hotel and although it is deemed to be the better of the two I like both this course and the Moorland course. The staff in the shop are always very professional and helpful and always keen to make your visit an enjoyable one. The price is quite reasonable I... More

One of the best course's in Derbyshire, putting surface's are true, fairways (if you stay on them) are in excellent condition and view's across the surrounding countryside from most tees are stunning.

(Last reviewed 17 October 2013) The Priory Course has never looked better it is picture perfect and more so especially on a warm/sunny day. There are views across the surrounding countryside from all parts of this course it is a delight to play.

One of my favourite courses. Well presented and well kept. Yes a couple of sunny days made it even better but still a great course. Took several mates to play who hadn't played there before - all were impressed. Course staff were helpful and friendly. Great couple of days.

The course was in excellent condition but would advise pre-booking a buggy as it is hilly. The hotel was excellent right from the staff to the great food at dinner and breakfast with clean comfortable rooms.

Couldn't have tackled it without a buggy. Also believe this course is better suited to low handicap players

Undulating fairways with small greens, accuracy required. Course was in good condition although the greens had been hollow tined (end of August)

The Priory sets out next to the Historic Breadsall Priory hotel, formerly home to Charles Darwins' grandfather. Whilst the course meaders around some lovely Derbyshire countryside - there are some really silly holes with a few Greens in driving landing zones. The 10th is a really stupid hole. It could be a great course with some redesign, but if you... More

The Moorland Course at Breadsall Priory Hotel & Country Club is a heathland style course, it offers a challenging layout, it is par 70 and thanks to its excellent drainage the course is available for golf all year round. It also features excellent views over the surrounding Derbyshire countryside.

As a member of the Breadsall Priory I often play this course and the views from various tees are spectacular. The course itself is quite demanding with testing fairways but the greens are superb. It is quite a hilly course so a Buggy may be advisable for some people.
