The atmosphere, beers and history of this pub are well worth visiting for. Never, ever eat here. The food is from the freezer and most probably microwaved. So disappointing. I'm sure we saw the Yorkshire in Aldi a few days later.

Always a decent pint here but can get seriously busy and crowded. Also does sometimes the smell of the food can be a bit dominating, fine if you are eating though!

Love this little pub...it has character, unlike some of the pubs in the area! Yes it does get quite busy and yes it is a small pub but the food and ales make it so worth a visit. Highly recommended!

Popped in for lunch on Christmas Eve and was rather disappointed. The chilli was only lukewarm and was served with some runny green gloop posing as guacamole. Fish finger sandwich came on crappy supermarket bread with grey fish fingers inside it and that for £4.50!! Service was very slow and apparently there was only one jacket potato left, despite it... Went in on Friday 19th couple of pints and a good old pie, Guinness and steak with mash and peas £7 for the meal, can't go wrong with that. Food was delicious served by very friendly staff.
