Some very impressive, modern, expensive-looking company office buildings including names like Nationwide but the interest for the visitor passing by on Whitehill way and perhaps heading for the delights of Lydiard Park and House, is the windmill itself. Removed brick-by-brick to its location right behind the Regus Office Building [over to the right of the complex as you slowly negotiate... More

I visited this area, with 7 friends but not for the historical reasons. The area is well-known for crop circles & the farmers accept donations for visitors to explore the strange phenomena, which they then pass on to various charities. There is a cafe, with shop & bathroom facilities nearby & a lovely walk to the fields where the crop... More

This is a fantastic, eerie site. relatively easy to get to. The atmosphere her is very chilled. All the sites around Avebury are visible, and it's good to just sit here in the peace.
