This is a really nice park and has something for everyone. You can walk right round the lake with a dog or just go for a stroll. There are plenty of trees and even a wild bird sanctuary but I haven't seen that. The café is open at weekends in the winter and every day in summer. A good variety... More

Always enjoy a good walk around the park, whether that be in the morning or a nice moon light walk. Great place for a run too, always gives you something to look at whilst you struggle your way round. There is also a nice pub for a nice cold cider

Golf course and crazy course for the family. Shallow pool for paddling and splashing about with nice changing facilities with toilets.... More

Coate water has a nice balance of interests. Anyone interested in water birds can find many variety of ducks, geese, gulls, pigeons and swans with visiting species according to season. Walkers can enjoy slow or fast trips around the lake itself or through the eider grounds. The variety of trees, wild flowers and seasonal bursts of colour make Coate Water... More

We love Coate Water. It's a really popular Swindon Park although seldom feels overcrowded. You have a a range of facilities for everbody including an excellent café, ranger centre and information point, clean toilets, a Splash Park and children's play area and a miniatue railway. There is a nature reserve with bird hidesand a brilliant walk around the lake as... More

I discovered Coate water by accident and am now a frequent visitor!. The walk around the lake is the perfect distance for recuperation from surgery! Testing but possible. There are boats on the lake and fishermen trying their best, an unused diving board is of historic interest but why it is not taken down I know not. There is an... More

Good walks around lake and up to Chisledon & Hodson. Walks 2 to 10 miles. Fun with dog. Plenty of birdlife. Café available during summer but pricy. Pitch & Put and Crazy golf courses during summer. Small gauge ride on railway at weekends. Have recently introduced parking fees.
