Educational and fun. Best attraction for miles around
An undiscovered gem that is very reasonably priced . Having visited and knowing how good it is, we would have paid triple the entry price and still have got our moneys worth vs most attractions. Me and my son spent hours in their having a great time. The curator was kind enough to take us through the history of early computing and let my son load a cassette game which was a special moment. We finished it off with a few hours gaming on newer consoles. Friendly and knowledgable staff, educational and fun as well as a lovely dose of nostalgia.

    Great trip down memory lane
Popped in with hubby (48 yrs) who has loved computers since he was very small. It is a lovely amble down memory lane as well as learning the early history of computing. Lots of different consoles to actually get to play on dating back to the 1970's at least. If you're a computer gamer enthusiast with children this is an excellent place to take them and share your child hood memories. Priced perfectly, £10 for two adults, I think a family was £13.

Trip down the computer memory lane
Spontaneous visit when looking for things to do in Swindon and wish we had more time there. They had an array of computers, well displayed and information given. There's even the opportunity to play some retro games. BF found the model of his first computer - Sinclair 128K 2+ and played Dizzy! #Nostalgia. So interesting to see how the world of computers started and changed. Worth a visit, especially for younger gen to see what computers and gaming was like. Shout out to the team too who were friendly and knowledgeable. Only name I got was Chris.

Great little museum to take adults down to memory lane and to show kids how their current PS4 games started ;) Lots to see and learn and the best thing is the hands on experience and being able to play the games. Such a refreshing difference from other museums where you have to keep telling kids not to touch things! The volunteers are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Their enthusiasm is contagious. Great stuff. Definitely worth a visit.

Great little museum, packed with lots of geeky, techy computers, video consoles and hand held games across the ages, several are available to play on. Nice to spend some time, and the staff were friendly. Worth a visit with you teenager..

I visited with my 4 year old son. We had a warm welcome, and greatly enjoyed our visit. The highlight for me was playing Airwolf on the BBC Micro with my son, and finding I still had the muscle memory from playing it ~35 years ago. There’s a sizeable collection of computers and consoles setup ready to use, and many more in display cabinets. Definitely worth a visit.

What a find! They have everything from many different types of storage to all the computers going back 40+ years. There's a display of all the major people involved with computing going back to Babbage and Ada Lovelace. There's even a Sinclair C5 car parked right outside. Do check opening times on their website.

The best museum of Swindon! Great collection. Good in the rain and the dry. I'd actually travel to Swindon just for this place for a retro computer and game fix. I could play on an amiga specyrum, atari st, and a lot of consoles and arcade machines . Was great to touch and handle things of the past

Lovely little geeky afternoon out. Well worth a visit if you love retro gaming. Everything is very much hands-on and there's a collection of pretty much every console you could want to play, plus an Amiga 1200 and Atari ST (but people who use STs are generally considered to smell of wee, so stay away from that). There's also a really interesting collection of older machines, some of which were familiar to me, including a working example of the classic BBC Micro,

We thought it would be 'interesting to put the ST and the Amiga together, so glad you enjoyed your visit! P.S. I don't smell of wee :-D

This was a great hour with some really nice and knowledgable staff. It was nicely laid out, with so many interactive stations. The kids enjoyed playing all the games, while we enjoyed the memories. I would definitely recommend for a visit.
