- Debra LRyde, United Kingdom15 contributionsBeautiful shopping centreWow! What can I say. This place is massive,it goes on and on. Just about every shop you can think of is there. We bought so many things. We found everyone really friendly. My husband is disabled and we managed to borrow an electric wheelchair. This was so helpful as we could put our shopping on too. I don’t think he could have gone an eighth way around it without the help. It was all beautifully lit with Christmas lights. Lots of gift ideas. We went on a Sunday just as it opened. I’m glad we did as so many people arrived. The car park is just a short walk away.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 13 November 2023
- NikJAscot, United Kingdom957 contributionsOne of the best outlets in the south of EnglandWe are equi-distant from a number of out,et malls, and in the south of England, this one is usually my favourite, as I dislike Bicester, and Portsmouth does not have enough shops. My rule of thumb with this one is to get in early, or late, as car parking is always horrendous, and then have people parking on the verges, however, and with 30mins free, which I assume is thee as the navigation through the car park is terrible, that sometimes you have to go out and then back in… and then a charge of £2 for up to 5hours encourage people to stay all day… Eventually, we got a space, and then wandered around for a few hours.. there are much better shops here than a bulk of the outlets.. but same applies here as to any outlet malls that if there are certain clothing shops you like a lot of them offer a further 10-30% discounts with vouchers…. The prices are no way near the price of US outlets.. where gone are the days perhaps of Ralph Lauren T-shirts about £6 and 9oxford shirts less than £20, but you can buys at reduced prices… Remember that some of the clothes are only produced for outlet selling… However, Swindon has a lot of appeal,… good selection of shops, food stalls inside and out, and all in a historic buildingVisited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 November 2023
- kitty cat c9 contributionsI got lost...It was good. I got lost form my child. Would recommend. Too many shops i feel like the different shops selling the same things could get in a war from the cheaper prices and more excetpable items. Good quality. Would recommend going to the haribo shop. Easy to drop him off at the West Entrance. Guest service staff gave an efficient run through the working of the scooter. On our departure Idris in Guest services was a star giving us every help and advice for an easy exit. Thank you so much. - Jay7 contributionsBrowseDecent shopping centre. There's plenty of choices whether it's food, snacks, gifts or clothing. Ideal place to shop for Birthdays and Holidays such as Christmas. The prices vary from shop-to-shop. However, there's some hidden gems tucked away if you take your time exploring. When busy, the location can feel suffocating. But I still highly recommend.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 February 2024
- ihaveshoosThornbury, United Kingdom461 contributionsGreat range of outlet storesA wide range of shops and food outlets available, providing a better mix than some other McArthurGlen sites. Parking is reasonable, and we avoided the bus lane issue that others seem to have had. Food options for lunch range from Starbucks and Costa, to Subway and KFC, and Wagamama and Pizza Express. There are also some food stalls outside that were reasonably priced. Clothes and accessories retailers sit alongside Cadburys and Haribo outlets and jewellers. Not all retailers are as good value as they may seem, with some items barely being below high street prices but there are definitely bargains to be found if you know what you want.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 February 2024
- 1dustyrhodesSurrey, United Kingdom402 contributionsCould have been better.Have been coming here for years, and always enjoyed our visits. Lots of bargains, friendly store staff, smiling and welcoming, it can get very busy on a Sunday. Great sofas to relax on, plus a few eateries. So far so great. My concern concerned two beauty outlets. The first wanted my e/mail address before I could get the discount on offer. The sign on the windows were offering this, but no mention of an e/mail address, outrageous business policy. IS it even legal. Worse no cash, only card ! THIS is England I did not know cash had become illegal tender. The second was Clairol, enquiring first did they take cash? NO problem. Then the assistant tried offering me over four pounds in five pence pieces in my change. What a strange country we have become. Begrudgingly another assistant opened the other till and produced serious coinage. My query here was who would have a till full of five pence coins? So no more visits to these two outlets then. Such a shame these two experiences ruined my visit, and am cross with myself for allowing this. Would I return of course, just watch where I shop.Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 March 2024

Came with family during the Christmas break. The exact day was sunday 29th December.
We got there at approx 2pm and it was rammed. It took approx. 25 mins to get into the car park but luckily we found a parking space immediately. The parking is dirt cheap, £1 up to 5 hours and then jumps up to £12 for more than 5 hours.
The carpark is across the road to the shops. The shops are all inside unlike Bicester designer outlet place. There are many shops to visit and there are good bargain to have compared to full price.
Lots of shops like Ralph Lauren, la coste, gap, samsonite, g star etc etc.
Its slightly easier to get to compared to bicester so will return.

It's such a shame that after being closed for so long they can't get the parking machines working. The last time I went on a Saturday 1 was working 4 weeks later 2 were working. The queues inside are bad enough, you shouldn't have to queue 30 mins to get out!

The place itself is worth a visit. Parking is cheap and most of the stores sell things at a really good, discounted price.
Beware though: Do not go to ‘brow’!!!
I had a tint and thread with their reopening offer. The offer is actually only £1 less than their usual price. I had to wait ages with people cutting in front- there was no organisation at all.
What’s worse is once I (finally) got into the chair, they changed the lady who was supposed to be doing my eyebrows to someone who looked like they were just having a turn to see what they could do. I asked if she’d been doing eyebrows for long, which she straight up ignored, if that wasn’t a warning sign I don’t know what is.
She got eyebrow dye in my eye, and told me at the end that once they grow back they’ll look nicer.... because that’s what I’m paying for!
I look like I have two uneven slugs on my face. Do not want to see that happen to anyone else. Best of luck to anyone who chooses to go there😂

I've also been caught in the Swindon Borough Council motorist cash cow scam when visiting the outlets on 10th December 2022. I'm now being blackmailed into paying £35.00p for visiting as the bus lane signage was none existent.
What galls me most is that looking at the Penzance Drive reviews this has been going on since 2016. yet the outlet management keeps regurgitating that the are 'working hard' with the council over this disgusting money grabbing by another local council with spider webs around a good shopping experience. Outlets, you've seen the last of us and we'll be telling family friends and anyone sensible to avoid this site as the shop prices may be lower the overall fees are too much

The retail centre and shops were excellent and all service received was 1st class. A positive experience only dampened by the fact I fell foul of the Council camera trap by the car park.
I feel that it could not have been obvious that I was travelling in a bus lane as I have covered over 250000 business miles in the past 7 years with no driving or parking penalties.
I normally budget circa £400 for Xmas shopping that I will be doing next week but will not return to the centre as I felt I had been jooped by the camera trap leaving a bad taste.
Shame really as the centre itself is very good.

Hi EH27017,
Thank you for taking the time to contact Swindon Designer Outlet ,I hope you are keeping safe and well during these difficult times. I am disappointed to hear that your visit was less than enjoyable and you incurred penalty charges for encroachment into the bus lane. Unfortunately, as I am sure you can appreciate, we have no jurisdiction over the bus lanes the public highway signage or how fines are delivered. We have included on our web site a ‘getting here’ warning with regards to the bus lanes in respect of our West car park.
In addition we have contacted our Swindon borough councillor on a number of occasions to discuss our concerns regarding the bus lane and will continue to do.
Kind Regards, SDO.

A pleasant afternoon spoiled by council greed.
It was a rainy day and we were down in Swindon seeing the father in law, we were told about the kids train ride in the outlet and so thought that for a couple of pounds and a way to spend some time this was a good idea. Was ok for the price but can't believe a few weeks later we get a penalty notice for driving in the poorly sign posted bus lane. If you follow the signs to the outlet you then pass the car park on the left (outlet on right), it appears the only way into this carpark is to take the left at the lights (that's the logical idea anyway). the signs are not very obvious (when you don't know area and looking for the car park as well as avoiding all the people) .
ln hindsight not the best route due to a badly and ungated bus lane (the signs are not very obvious when you don't know area and looking for the car park) . When you turn left into this 'bus lane' there is only a small no turn sign found that was easy to miss when trying to navigate to the car park that is just there on your left, see image 1.
When you actually turn into the road you are now concentrating on what is in front (not a single bus I might add but plenty of people walking around to look out for) and so the signs you now come across are not something you would naturally look for as you are completing the manoeuvre and trying to do so safely(see image 2).
Swindon council should be ashamed of themselves (if the bus lane is that important then actually put a electric gate there, after viewing the google images it says bus gate on road but no gate is found, you could then be forgiven for thinking you are ok until you come up against the mentioned gate) and the outlet themselves should be lobbying the council to change this cash cow. It seems that many many people get caught by this, just crazy and really spoils the day.
Why doesn't the car park open out onto the main road?
We won't be going back here again as we feel that more should be done to stop so many drivers falling for this, put up a gate to start with and then no issues but this would not make any money for the council.

I don’t actually like shopping malls because they aren’t my cup of tea but my darling daughter Maysa God bless her took me to this lovely outlet at Swindon.
This shopping centre is superb, car parking on site, under cover and asked our car to be hand-washed £25 gold package cleaning.
I must admit they did a good job and I had the opportunity to speak to the car wash msn as he was from Iran.
The shops were covering all tastes and at the end of shopping and spending some money, you know when you go shopping with ladies at daddy’s expense swiping card!!
We ended up having delicious afternoon tea from Patisserie Valerie £25 for two persons but easily enough for three!!
The stuff were very cheerful and friendly. Tea & coffee are refillable!!
If you are shopping at this outlet, Patisserie Valerie is highly recommended.

I know that the outlet claims that they have no influence over the bus lane scam, but it's their customers who are getting fined. The obvious signage for the centre right by the only visible turning into the car park is a perfect trap for drivers who are following sat nav. It's a perfect and blatant trap. Thousands of shoppers are caught by this little money making scheme. The centre and the council should be ashamed. Look at the reviews dating back years. So many people paying up to £70 simply because of poor signage, daft layout and an obvious benefit for the council in raising revenue. I'll never go back.

We have previously been to the designer outlet in Ashford and so thought it worth doing some shopping here whilst staying nearby in Cirencester. We arrived just before 10.00 to find the car park free as the machines were broken, a good bonus! There was plenty of parking at this time but it was much busier when we returned to drop bags off a couple of hours later. There is an excellent range of shops from high end to high street, food to home wear and clothing. Many shops offered significant discounts on rrp and then extra off the ticket price so we bought rather a lot but saved lots of money. We stopped for a break and a coffee at Soho which was very nice then later on had lunch at subway. The staff in all of the shops were very friendly and polite. If you want to do some retail therapy this is the place to go. Much better than the town centre which was rather derelict and disappointing in comparison.

Spent a pleasant day at this shopping centre, which occupies part of the old railway workshops, with my (adult female) family. Lots and lots of clothes shops, a few gift-type shops and some specialist stores but not a lot for the more mature male (like me) or even, perhaps, for children (a couple of toy shops, a poor play area and a 'train' ride). The food court provides a variety of experiences from big brands (KFC, Wagamama, Pizza Express etc) and several independent food stores operate just outside the main entrance. If clothes and ‘gift’ shops ‘float-your-boat’ then make sure your credit card has a large credit limit! Several stores give discount to NHS or Armed Forces personnel, but many don’t due to the already (apparently) discounted pricing. When we visited parking was free in the West car park due to a (long term?) ticketing machine fault. Although it was a Friday when we visited, it wasn’t too busy and we didn’t feel at risk in these COVID times.

Can I return any Nike outlet purchase to any Nike shop or outlet in London ? Same for adidas ?
Written 11 March 2023
No outlet purchases are not usually accepted for refunds or exchanges in full price stores
Written 13 March 2023
I think there would be a number of variables that would affect that, depending upon the store from which it was purchased.
The store may also consider if the product is faulty, the time between purchase and return, purchase condition and price, condition on return, reason for return, is the return complete, is it open and used, etc etc.
They may have a return period, but having worked in retail for many years it is never that simple and always subject to conditions. In other words always read the small print.
The best thing to do is ask when you buy the product.

I think it’s a Next Outlet anyway do you can’t just return it to any Next store. You might have to go back to the same store when they open after lockdown and they should honour it. Keep the receipt in a safe place.
