I have spent many a time ambling around the Jumbles reservoir - whether that was when I was a teen with friends, with my children when they were young and with friends and family. Whether it's to feed the ducks, needing to talk to friends, for fitness reasons, on a date or wanting to be alone, it's just such a... More

We had a lovely walk around the Reservoir on a crisp winters afternoon. It was wonderful to see the waterfowl and all the people walking in the area.

Fancy a walk on the wild side but not got time to travel far? This little haven on the outskirts of Bolton is a joy. Picnic benches to stop and savour the scenery too. Perfect for children and adults. Ps. Don't bring lots of cars, limited parking

Lovely place to walk through the countryside. Some paths a little slippy as the sun had not reached them but a very enjoyable walk. We stopped at the cafe for hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows - very helpful ladies regarding what is gluten free. Bring a camera /phone as there are some beautiful views to photograph. Good stout shoes... More

Nice easy place to find. Not much parking available. The pay machine was broken so that was a bonus for the trip. Nice easy walk round. Doggy bins on route always good. Good 1 hour Sunday afternoon stroll. Really enjoyed it. Would recommend not to go with a pram or a wheelchair. Quite off beat in some areas. Would struggle... More

Jumbles is a very pleasant walk. Begin in the car park, currently free which is a bonus and head out the end of the car park, and down the stairs (quite steep so take care, but better than having to walk up them if you do the walk in reverse). Follow the path till it emerges onto a tree lined... More
