Hi guys, it was a pleasure hosting you, I really do not know where you get the energy from to look after Tom full time, he certainly is a handful but he is a little treasure, wish you well, kind regards Leon More

Our first visit to F.D.H.C on a freezing cold December day and my first impression was a little disappointing with a collection of ram shackled sheds and equipment balanced on the side of a 60ft drop down to the river valley. Things began to improve once the tour guide began to breathe life into the now rusting equipment with his... More

I loved the tv programs of fred Dibnah. so I was really happy to visit His old Home and where He worked when not demolishing Chimneys . The 2 men who gave talks were really interesting you relly got the feel of the place and to sit in Fred's lounge and have a cup of tea was great

If you are interested in steam, then this is a must have visit, but more than that the spirit of Fred is all around you. R.I.P Fred, what a legacy you have left behind.

Even if you're not into Fred Dibnah this tour of his home and work place is most interesting. Alf and Leon have many tales to tell.

Many thanks valerie, we have lots of ladies that come out of a sense of duty to their partners and are not looking forward to it, however they all go away saying they were absolutely fascinated by the wonderful and magical atmosphere and the stories of Fred's escapades, come see for yourselves folks. We were with a coach party and Leon the owner made the centre come alive with the help of Arthur. The tour took a good 2 hours (although without the guided tour I imagine you could not only miss a lot of information you would be able to get round in 10 minutes). The leaflet does tell you to book... More

My engineering minded brothers and son had a wonderful time with the owner Leon and Fred's sidekick Alf. I have always loved steam and Victorian engineering so I had a ball but even my non- technical sister-in-law thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Leon and Alf were so friendly and informative that it really brought the place to life, I can't thank... More
