Voted Best Tourism Experience at Lancashire and Blackpool Tourism Awards...

Voted Best Tourism Experience at Lancashire and Blackpool Tourism Awards 2011 and nominated in the Visit Lancashire for Small Visitor Attraction in 2014. It's got to be one of Lancashire's best days out and that's not just us saying that (check out our feedback!). With breathtaking scenery, amazing tree top obstacles and awesome zip lines, Rivington is sure to be a day out in Lancashire you won't forget. You are guaranteed a warm welcome at Rivington Tree Top Adventure. It's home to one of the most exciting zip wires: You'll cross a bay in the reservoir and get a bird's eye view over the water. With its rugged hills, picturesque reservoirs and woodlands bustling with wildlife, Rivington is one of Lancashire's 'must visit' locations. A gem in its own right and on the doorstep of Manchester, one of the most vibrant cities in the UK.

Myself and a friend recently visited Go Ape at Rivington getting 15% off with our student IDs. Having visited 3 other Go Ape sites I knew what I should expect. The instructor was very friendly and gave very clear instructions. The course itself doesn't cover a large area but one of the zip wires does cross the water which was... More

Been to go ape before but first time here, easy to find, large free car park, cafe, toilets, plenty of places for spectators etc as it's set in a huge wooded park very popular with dog walkers, families, bikers etc etc...pack a picnic and make a day of it...! Polite, helpful staff, great course with the highlight being the 200metre zip close to the... More

When we arrived at Go Ape we were signed in and taken through safety training for about 30 minutes. Our trainer was lovely and made sure we knew how to use the equipment before we attempted the courses. The courses were challenging but we all managed to complete them and the zip wires were excellent, especially the highest one which... More

It is absolutely fabulous fun. My son and I didn't know what to do one so we went there and had the time of our lives. The staff were very friendly and the final tarzan swing is exhilarating.

Booked here for Sunday with my daughter arrived early as I had remembered this is s busy spot for cyclists and tourists alike parked on the road not well signposted but found it next to the barn. Greeted on arrival and shown a safety demo then another short demo were we were given a trail zip wire. There are 5... More

Me & my girlfriend went last bank holiday as a Christmas gift. The site is very easy to find and there is a cafe & public toilets nearby along with loads of parking spaces. We were in a group of around 15 for the safety briefing which was informal yet very well informed. Then you have to show you can... More

Went with family as a sort of boys day out. We were greeted and went through the safety briefing. Having a couple of 'outspoken ones' within our group the instructor played along and joined in the humour. The obstacles were good- some more challenging than others. The best bit was the long zip wire that goes over the lake. It... More

Surprised my boyfriend for his birthday. Great access and facilities. Very good support from instructors and also group members. You are not rushed around the route and there a 4 zones. End of each zone is a zip wire that brings you back down to the floor, great if in need of a little break or a quick loo trip!... More

Came here for a friends birthday at the weekend and we all enjoyed ourselves, you get briefed at the start on how to connect all the ropes etc. Then your on your own to go through the trees. My favourite part is zip wiring over the lake. If you get a nice day the view is outstanding, if you could... More

Went with my nephew. The instructions were very clear and safe. We were not rushed around the course and going through the trees was thrilling, particularly the big zip line at the end.
