Great selection of arcades, but a little pricey.
A great selection of rare arcade titles. Felt a little expensive to get in, which at the time was about £14 each, but I suppose if you play 14 arcades you've spent less than you would at a coin operated arcade centre. All the games are limitless to play but you're limited to a few hours although you'll have played everything within the hour. When we went a few arcade machines were faulty/broken but it's to be expected with such old hardware.

The Pixel Bunker! A retro arcade!
I visited the Pixel Bunker with a friend in the evening for the 5pm session! We had a really fantastic fun time and the staff themselves were exemplary and friendly with us! They have a very wide variety of arcade games to play and several pinball machines! Obviously some of said arcade machines are very old and one or two were out of order whilst we were there but that is very understandable and cannot be foreseen. Just across opposite the room from the pixel bunker they have many different old displays of movie replicas like a Hattori Hanzo sword from Kill Bill (signed by uma thurman herself) and available for only £1500 or a replica guitar from BTTF, signed by Micheal fox. The Pixel Bunker is up some stairs just look for the Pixel Bunker signs near the entrance, you can’t miss it. It’s the same entrance to get to the Film and TV museum. (Managed by the same staff) Overall this place is really really good 😊 they do sell a variety of snacks/sweets and bottled drinks for you to buy whilst there and it’s not extortionate either so very pleased! Highly recommend a visit to the Pixel Bunker if you want something fun to do! When you buy a ticket for each person attending you need to give there name and date of birth on eventbrite, which I found extremely bizarre, as there’s no valid reason for this particular information. Each session is three hours, I was also informed by staff that when you book a session you don’t have to get there at the start time stated if you don’t wish to be there for the full three hours but I’d say three hours is more than enough time to try out all the machines and find a favourite 🤩. I would advise people to ABSOLUTELY book online before hand (apparently they get VERY busy on a Saturday morning session) Will definitely be returning and recommending the pixel bunker to my friends!

Nostalgia at its best. Just brilliant
Absolutely loved visiting here today. Went as a family with kids aged 10 and 5 but if I'm honest I probably enjoyed it more than everyone! Fantastic experience and brought back loads of memories. Visited on a Sunday morning at 10am for the first session and it wasn't busy at all which was good. Did fill up as the morning went on Previous reviews have said that it feels quite cramped. I don't agree. There's plenty of space, it's just that the machines are stacked side by side in rows for the most part. No issue with this... Went to play games not have a nice walk! Far more machines and games than I expected. Easily got our monies worth. Just to name a few absolute gems (from my era anyway) Killer instinct Mortal kombat Rampage Teenage mutant ninja turtles R type Wwf After burner Time crisis 2 Street fighter 2 The Simpsons As well as loads more, including 3 absolutely pristine pinball machines. I can't really tell you much more about the rest of the place as we literally gamed for 3 hours solid! Will definitely be returning.

    What a gem
Visited as a family with two children (aged 13 and 11). My partner had booked it and I have to admit I was a little unsure if the rest of us would enjoy it as much as him! I was definitely proved wrong. We all thoroughly enjoyed the range of pinball and arcade machines. There was so much choice and the 3 hours flew by. I think it was value for money considering how much it costs at seaside arcades these days.

    Felt like a kid again!
Never really spent a lot of time in gaming arcades as a kid so this was an excellent opportunity to 'catch up' with everyone else. Your entrace fee gets you three hours to play and replay all the games as much as you can. But you really need two of you. One to play and the other to document the experience!

    Blast from the past
£15 for three hours, and then all the games are free. Went on the Saturday before Father’s Day and it wasn’t overly busy. Opened promptly just before 10 and had a friendly explanation of how it all works. Tickets had been pre booked (which is advised). Only 3 machines weren’t working, Operation Wolf, a combined driving/shooting game and Arkanoid, maybe they’ll be working next time. Some absolute classics here that sucked up my pocket money. Totally recommend.

Quite expensively entrance fee and we paid extra to go around the museum, we only spent about an hour in each so was very expensive for us, the games were all nice and clean and most were working, was nice to see 80's memorabilia hanging from the ceiling

I've never been to Pixel Bunker before and so the first impression is always important, from the street it was hard to find and there were no signs that stood out from the other buildings and you were practically at the door before you knew you were there once in the building there were a number of nice touches, such as film memorabilia. The guy who booked us in was a bit robotic but I guess he has to say the same thing to each group. Anyway, once in, I was initially surprised by how small the venue was and was aittle concerned by that, as the entrance fee is quite a bit, but still alot cheaper than say a jungle gym. The machines were very much crammed in and there was the clash of elbows from time to time from other players.
The bad points, whilst I agree these machines are old, there are things that can be easily addressed, such as screen misalignment and some screens were strangely soft, not something I've experienced on a CRT before. There was the expected burn in, and some screens exhibited discolouration. Some machines didn't work and some of the controls were stiff, such as Space Harrir, my favourite game ever! And Ridge Racer 2s steering was completely off. My only mine gripe was how the lady manager was quite forceful when it came to the end of the session, and seemed determined to kick everyone out on the button sure they want to go home, but her delivery was far from friendly
Now for the positives, I found the lightning to be in keeping with the feel of the arcade and I've seen people complaining about that, it needs the dark so that the screens can be seen well, also there were a huge games to choose from and play, despite the ones that dint work, there were at least 95% that did work.I also really liked how the room was decorated, which had many things from my childhood adorning the room, such as boxes of the ZX spectrum and TV themed characters.
Overall, it was a positive experience and my three children enjoyed it. Its a good effort, but with a bigger venue, this could be an awesome experience.

We stayed for our full allotted time and could have stayed longer! The entry price is all you pay for the 'attraction', all the games inside are unlimited play. Huge choice of games, including Pac-Man (& Ms and Baby), Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Simpsons, Street Fighter etc

Staff were brilliant and helpful, lots of merchandise to look at and/or buy (including signed memorabilia), drinks/sweets available (pick'n'mix, pop etc).

Yes, the game area could be bigger, but with the unit/room that they have they've done really well.. also attached is the Sci Fi museum, which unfortunately was closed when we went in the evening, but we'll be going back to do this too!

Good:
Opportunity to play rare, nostalgic and beloved arcades without worrying about coins. Good selection of mostly shooters/racers and platformers with a couple fighting games. Friendly staff (I think we had the owner) very knowledgeable and the place is obviously run with love and doesn't have a game studio or anything behind it to support it.

Needs work:
It is on the pricey side. We were told it was £13 each, then charged £30 for two, not sure what happened there? The space feels a bit small and so they can't really facilitate any larger arcade cabinets.

More urgent:
Several machines were in an unusable condition. Driving games with cars unable to drive straight, start buttons not working. Again, I appreciate the machines are rare and parts even rarer.

Suggestions.
Could absolutely do with a tea/coffee stand, a table or two so you can take a break, talk and come back to the games within your time slot.

I would return but would be on the lookout for 2 for 1 offers or discounts.
