Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tucked onto the side of the Centre MK is the Intu shopping centre. There is a food court with pop up stalls although when I visited many of these were shut. Also there is the Upside Down House which is a striking landmark in the middle of a seated area.
From here you can walk into the shops and there are a variety to choose from including Lego, Superdry, Sports Direct and Victoria's Secret.
There is also a Five Guys with toilets and baby changing facilities and a car park above.
Well worth visiting on your shopping trip to the city.

On Saturday we chose to use Starbucks, not our usual coffee venue. I spotted an eggnog latte which sealed the deal. It was pretty busy inside but we soon got served and sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. We've since used the Kingston store too, most enjoyable and we picked up a magic bag via Too good to go :)

Very quiet with a few restaurants and other high street stores. A lot of shops shut but modern and clean. Sad times as was half empty with car parks even less full. Visiting Apple store for a repair

There are a number of positives about this venue. It has a spacious layout and there are ample places to sit down as you walk around. There seems a good choice of catering outlets and many of the large high street brands are represented amongst the retailers.
However, the centre seems to offer nothing out of the ordinary to set it apart from many similar places throughout the UK.
OK for a visit if you live locally or happen to be in the area, but not somewhere it is worth making a trip just for a visit.

Intu is the smaller and newer of the two shopping centres in MK and has some of the more premium shops like Apple, Five Guys and Top Man and Next. It feels more premium with a nice atrium and a cute little train too.

If you like shopping you’ll love this retail cathedral! If you don’t it will be like a visit to hell!
Intu (formerly called Midsummer Place) in Milton Keynes is a horseshoe shaped shopping arcade that is home to many of the High Street chain store favourites such as Debenhams, Gap, Hollister, Topshop, New Look, H&M, Apple and Zara. There is also a number of typical shopping centre eateries, such as Pret and Burger King, located in a central atrium area!
Looking beyond actual shopping, Intu, built in 2000, was an extension to the original and architecturally amazing Shopping Centre built in 1979. From a architectural point of view Intu doesn’t fail to disappoint on every level! The building was constructed around one of the only and oldest oak trees in central Milton Keynes which it systematically killed by drowning over a 15 year period! Furthermore, the atrium is a cold uninviting wind trap that has completely destroyed the continuity of one of CMKs main boulevards. I’m not against shops and shopping, but this building is an ill conceived monstrosity!
Special mention - the new pink and gaudy shop front of the Victoria Secrets store is particularly tacky and distasteful!

I'm probably not the person to ask about this place as I was the first Security Manager at Midsummer (now called Intu) when it opened.
The design of the building is dull (horseshoe shaped) with a dead tree a large frog clock. Most of the shops are clothes shops although there is a sports shop, an art gallery, cafes, banks, a department store and a reasonable bookstore.
The lifts are OK but you'll probably find one or more of the escalators not working.
Beware of slippery surfaces when it rains, it can be very tricky walking in the 'open' area.

Although it's not listed on trip advisor as Midsummer Place it still has this signage at the entrances. This area flows almost seamlessly from the rest of the shopping centre and has stores and restaurants. There's also a few large open spaces. When I visited there were a number of street food stalls there.
There is one thoroughfare and it takes you on a U shape so you do not miss a thing.
There are a variety of places to eat and also stores including a very large Next, Superdry, Sports Direct and Lego to name just a few.
There are toilets as well.
Well worth checking out on your shopping expedition to Milton Keynes.

Intu shopping mall has got lots of shops. Being Christmas season sale is on in many of them. Lots of new arrivals and collections there for everyone' choice.
