75 seater river boat providing 1hr trips and 3hr lunch/supper cruises on the River Medway. 1hr trips run weekends and schools holidays, family and group friendly, the boat stops at Allington Lock which is 100m from the Kent Life attraction. 3hr cruises run weekdays and include food - pre booking form essential The boat can also be hired for private charter also available. I took my elderly mum on the three hour fish and chip cruise on 27th September. From the moment we booked in to the moment we left the boat the experience was amazing. Michael was a brilliant host 👏 They seated you in order of your booking which was all very organised and when Michael saw I was having difficulty walking he straight away accommodated me and sat us at the front of the boat which showed his level of care. The views were lovely, the commentary was so informative and with sone humour too. The fish and chips were to die for not an ounce if grease anywhere and very tasty. To top it off there was the added bonus of big baskets of fruit that were put at the front of the boat courtesy of the staff. The fruit was fresh and very tasty and was a lovely added surprise that we were not expecting at all. The boat was spotlessly clean including the toilets and the organisation of the whole trip was second to none. The owners were very friendly and I would recommend their services and this trip without a second thought Thank you for a lovely day 😊

Hired the Kentish Lady for my dad’s 80th Birthday. I would highly recommend. The staff, catering and disco were great. All facilities were clean. A lovely evening going through the locks and dancing the night away.

We had a fabulous trip to Allington Castle on 5th September, organised through Real Socialising 👏👏👏
We enjoyed the short trip on the Medway, the staff on board were very good 💯 at looking out for a largely elderly group. Jackie and Adrian at Allington regaled us with stories of the history of the castle and gardens which they keep looking beautiful 🤩 On an extremely hot day, we found plenty of shaded courtyards etc Can't wait to visit again 👏👏👏👏

My recent 3hr cruise on the fantastic KENTISH LADY exceeded all of my expectations ! I’d planned the cruise months before from Australia. It turned out an absolute joy !
A sparkling clean comfortable boat ,friendly caring delightful staff , glorious scenery (which included a streamlined lock manoeuvre ) a delicious fish & chip lunch with plentiful platter of fresh fruits ,& a bar for drinks . ( I even had the happy surprise a free glass of refreshing Pimms placed in my hand ! ( as I was visitor from OS ! ) ,
The kind owner and his wife are meticulous & professional ..Everything is done to perfection.
It was a hot day so the thoughtful lovely owner kindly offered to drive me to the station ! I was so grateful as apparently taxis are busy transporting schoolchildren at that time .
Thank you most sincerely ,all at Kentish Lady ,MAIDSTONE .

I would highly recommend this lovely 3 hour fish & chip cruise along the river medway.

Our son won a family ticket on the Kentish Lady at his school fair.
We boarded the boat at Allington Lock and we were the last group to board. It was quiet busy, but we managed to get 4 seats together.
We decided to stay onboard when we got to the Archbishops Palace for the return journey. This was much quieter and I could hear the history commentary on the tannoy.
We’ll return again.

We booked up for 5 people for the 3 hour trip with fish and chips. We was greeted with nice and welcoming staff. 1 of our party was in a wheelchair. We was helped on and off the boat. The fish and chips was nice which was in a styrofoam box and had on our laps. You also get a free non alcoholic drink. As you travel along there is commentary about the area. On the boat is a bar and toilet. the staff are walking up and down the boat to help or answer any questions. The day we went was raining but didn’t spoil the trip. This trip is well recommended.

Having moved close to Maidstone a couple of years ago, we’d promised ourselves with friends we’d take this lunchtime trip. Super friendly and helpful staff with our 2 Captains and Colin at the bar, made us feel really welcome. The Fish & Chips lunch was fine, delivered and eaten shortly after we got on board. Great information given out about the sights and history as we sailed from Maidstone to Teston lock and we passed some beautiful countryside and views. Great afternoon out, well worth the money and a trip we’d happily do again

I have booked a trip for a WI outing in July but keep hearing bad reviews re toilets broken, rickety old boat no Fish and chips although ordered etc from local residents how true is this?

Good morning, I am flabbergasted to read this and anybody reporting these issues must be confusing us with another excursion provider, the Kentish Lady is kept in immaculate condition, the toilets have no issues and in my 8 years of running the vessel we have never failed to provide the food ordered. Hi would this be suitable for disabled as would like to take my mum for 3 hour cruise just wondered how she would get down to river as she walks with a walker , and access to th boat cheers

Yes the boat is suitable for disabled , there are no stairs down to our mooring and there is parking close by , also the boat is level to the dock.
