Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a great park to wander around with the kids and dogs, however my experience is always ruined if I try to use the cafe. It is understaffed and run by young and inexperienced staff, queues are horrendous and the food and drink and worse than substandard & of course the prices are high. It’s such a shame as this could be such a good business.

Observe the Covid lockdown rules! This is not a place for a picnic nor a place for social gatherings as some people think. If you want to catch Covid thats the place to go. People in and out of the toilets with no masks. Hands all over the doors then into the cafe before sitting in groups at the tables outside that do not seem to be sanitized. Well done Cobtree Management for encouraging this behaviour when our NHS is at breaking point!

This is such a lovely park! Visited for a couple hours with the children and they loved the park area. The park itself is very well maintained and clean, also has a variety of equipment for different ages. Parking was easy although only option is to pay £2.30 for 6 hours. We didn’t use the cafe as the que was continuously long but it looked to be good. The toilets really let this place down, they are filthy. One toilet roll between three cubicles and almost out of soap. Real shame they aren’t being looked after as the rest of the place is amazing!

Lovely park with lots of open space and large children’s playground. Cafe is very busy and slow to get served - takeaway only today with outside tables.
Maidstone Borough Council should be ashamed of themselves for the state of the toilets. Dirty, smelly, no toilet paper, no soap in the dispensers. Still warning signs up about cleanliness for Covid the council should be doing a lot better. They are getting money from the car parking charges and rent from the café operator so spend some of it on keeping the place respectable.

Absolutely love Cobtree!!! We go every day with the dogs. Beautiful place to be, love the history of the zoo, finding the fairly well hidden graves of the animals, the elephant and llama house. Lovely walks around the outside of the estate, takes about an hour to walk round the outside route although it can get muddy in places. I know the circular route well, but could perhaps do with some signage on route especially near the golf course so people know exactly where to go. The actual park route is lovely. Always something different to see as you walk round, the seasons provide a beautiful array of photo opportunities.
Lovely playground and cafe. Can get busy at weekends, but easy enough to social distance,.if you have a few brain cells.
Only thing I would complain about is, all the money from the car parking charges and they have done a truly terrible job repairing the paths in the park. Looks a real slap dash effort and not in keepi g with the park at all.
Lovely way to spend a day here though. Occasionally seen the buzzards flying over head too!

Great setting for a stroll. Mixture from woodland to grass glades ideal for knocking a ball about.
Another couple of weeks and the bluebells should be in bloom.
Interesting play area for lively children.
All in all a very pleasant visit.
Café as well although we did not use it.

Nice country park in the summer for a picnic but not the biggest to wear the dog out. Would recommend walking round twice to make the most out of parking. Car park is very busy when it is a weekend and the park is rammed. The cafe here is average but the staff are lovely and they sell puppacinos which is great. Woodland is pretty just not very big.

A beautiful rolling park with space, adventure fort playground and children's play equipment. Plenty of space to run around and no trouble with social distancing.
Ample car park with a cafe. A good venue for self made fun.

I've watched Cobtree decline over the years. Play equipment removed and not replaced. It really was fantastic, it was our preferred play area.
We considered Cobtree far better than Mote Park.

Lovely sized car park and no issue parking. Only £2 to park all day. Used the toilets first and unfortunately they had no soap in any of the dispensers which I think is really bad. Anyway, play park is great, loads for the older ones to do and all looked clean and in good working order. There was a tiny section for babies/under 18 months but it didn’t look as in good shape as the rest of the park. Had a picnic and there was lots of tables dotted around. Another small play section to one side and another to the other side. Caffe seemed nice enough, only bought one ice lolly which was standard price so can’t comment on the price of other things I’m afraid. Went for a lovely walk around the park which was really nice. The park it’s self was clean, no litter that we saw. We really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back but please put some hand soap in the toilets!
