Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went here for the Snooker Shootout last week and was very impressed!
The venue is situated in the centre of Watford just 5 minute walk from the shops/pubs/restaurants so ideal.
The snooker started at 1pm so we had time to explore the town a bit beforehand and then off to the venue it was. The usual security checks on arrival as you would expect and off to the bar for a pitcher (4 pints) of cider which was about £21 I think, not too bad at all I reckon. They had food on offer which smelt lovely but we went of for dinner so I didn't try any unfortunately.
The toilets were kept clean as were all of the public areas. The main arena area was just right for this type of competition and I can't wait to go back next year!

Went to watch Shootout Snooker. Snooker itself was great.
Venue wasn’t great.
It was ridiculously hot. Far far too hot.
Bar prices are ridiculous but that’s normal.
Water pressure for hand washing was a trickle at best. Had to keep swapping sinks to find one with water.
Food offering was terrible.
Seats, for a long thing like a day at snooker for 10 hours, are just not comfortable enough.

Visited here twice in 8 days for different shows. Noticeably very hot in the auditorium (we were on the balcony). Generally clean but on 2nd visit it was clear the toilets hadn't been serviced since the previous performance as bins were overflowing onto the floor and we were pretty much first to arrive. Parking available on site, but depending on the show can get full up. Other car parks nearby.

I was sat at the front of the 'Circle' (actually just raised seating at the very back behind the last Stalls seating) for stand-up comedy (Stewart Lee). The audio echoed and lacked full frequency - sounded like a tanoy in the train station.
Otherwise, nobody checks your tickets, usual high prices for drinks and food, not particularly modern or comfortable.

We visited the theatre on Sunday for lunch and a Michael Buble tribute show. The paving outside the theatre was disgusting and litered with cigarette ends. The doors opened at 12.30 but the bar in the waiting area was closed. We could only get a drink from the bar where our tables were at 1pm. Most people like to have a pre dinner drink. The theatre definitely missed out on drinks sales and we were left thirsty! The food was adequate and the show was ok.

It’s not brilliant. The food took an age to be served. The band were mediocre. DJ was good as were the dancers during the meal. Very overpriced.

Four of us were really looking forward to seeing Rick Wakeman at the Colleseum tonight (Sat 7th Dec). However, yesterday we were told that the concert was cancelled due to structural improvement works within the auditorium. It is ridiculous that we it was decided just a day before to cancel this event. What sort of outfit cannot manage works so that long planned concerts can tale place? Even worse, no compensation other than a refund of just the ticket value, we still had to pay See Tickets fees!! Beware of this place.....

Went to see Ben Fogle but had to leave at the interval as the seats were so uncomfortable. Also pre ordered food which was not very nice at all. Lack of parking annoying too. However all the staff we encountered were friendly helpful and efficient.

I would love to write how great it was but I can't, nothing to do with OMD but the inept Watford Colesseum. With an hour to go the show was cancelled due to the venue being inadequate for more than stand up comedians & Peppa Pig!
I didn't order the tickets, another member of our group did as I wouldn't have chosen this second rate venue after poor visits with my young kids to their shows there.
We now find out that the concert is now cancelled and not postponed unlike what the Colesseum are saying. So after 25+ years of following OMD on all their tours I will now miss out on see them on their 40th anniversary!
Think Watford Council need to look at the management of this venue and get rid of the people responsible for this debacle. Booking a band that they know are loud and use very high frequencies when the building isn't capable of sustaining them. All this causing the ceiling to become damaged and then having to cancel with a hour of the doors opening.
Anything but a professional venue!
AVOID THIS VENUE AND BUY YOUR TICKETS FOR ELSEWHERE IN FUTURE.

Parking on July 8
Hello. Please make sure you leave plenty of time to park before a performance.
There is no parking at Watford Colosseum, however parking is available at several locations within a short walk of the venue.
• The Gade multi-storey car park located on Rosslyn Road, WD17 1NA is open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Card & cash payment accepted.
• The Avenue car park located on Hempstead Road, WD17 4NR is open from 7am until midnight. Card & cash payment accepted.
• The Town Hall car park located off Peace Prospect, WD17 3HA, is normally open to the public from 5pm to midnight Monday to Friday and all day at weekends. Please note this car park accepts cash only payment.
We recommend that you check the Watford FC fixture list for mid-week and weekend matches and leave yourself plenty of time to park on those days.
Enjoy the show!

You can park in the council offices car park behind the Colosseum after 4.30pm on weekdays and all day on weekends. Also in the car park in the roundabout next to that. Do not park in the sports centre car park.
The Gade car park is a bit further but close enough to walk from.

The nearest is an open air, pay & display car park opposite the leisure centre, (which is virtually next door to the Town Hall and the Colosseum.

Hi has anyone been to the 80's Tropicana night at this venue.
I'd love to go is it a disco or live music?so so is there a dance floor ?

Hi,
Our Tropicana Nights are 80's disco / club evenings. Where our main auditorium is flat floor with a large bar in the middle. So lots of room to dance! There is also lots of inflatable iconic 80's items hanging from the roof!
At our next Tropicana Night we have guest DJ, 80's legend Pat Sharp.
I hope this helps, and we look forward to seeing you!
Regards,
Lewis Clark

How do you find out who is performing or what is playing? Won't be there until May, 2015.

They have a pretty good website which details all the shows, you can also reserve a table for dinner prior to most performances from the site. Just search Watford Colosseum.
