Parking right next to the Abbey side gate. The setting and the building are beautiful, but the inside exceptional, especially the vaulted ceilings, with exquisite detail. Entrance by voluntary contributions, but easily worth £5 per person compared to similar buildings.

If in Tewksbury you mustn’t miss the Abbey, such a nice building obviously with plenty of history. We visited on a Sunday between services. It’s the second time we have visited.

This impressive Abbey, built in the early 11th century, demonstrates the incredible architectural and engineering skills of our forebears. The vaulted ceiling and the stained glass windows are particularly impressive.

If I were you, I'd get the train to Bath, then rent a car. Public transport isn't generally that great in any rural area of Britain. Rent a car and explore the beautiful Cotswolds at your leisure. And I'm sure you love... More
