A strange one.

Called in here after looking for 'things to do in Solihull' -so glad we did. Beautiful African birds in the aviary, interesting creatures to hold in the reptile house & a fantastic tearoom -the like of which I've not seen since going to the Serengeti. One of the most entertaining places I've been to lately.

Akamba is in a class of its own. The animals the ambiance you could think you where in Africa. The restaurant is unique we didn't eat but the coffee and other drinks where good.Just opened extra to the bird sanctuary looking forward to going soon to see what they have done. Go and enjoy big plus free to go in.

Love to visit Akamba. It is such a unique experience. The ambiance of the surroundings on a summers day would fool you into thinking you are dining somewhere exotic. Food is pleasant and the staff very friendly. Have been many times and will return again and again.

Had a great night out at the Michael Jackson tribute night, however the food was not great. I ordered plain chicken as I don't eat spicy food and it was really chewy. Please change the menu slightly or give the option to book tickets without having to eat because this was the only thing letting it down.

Was recommended by a friend to visit Alanna Garden Centre. Well worth the effort, must be one of the best kept secrets in the Birmingham area. Not easy to find but once your there it's like entering a wildlife safari park. I'm sure all ages of children and adults will find the extensive collection of animals ,near life size constructed... We meet here for a birthday breakfast as a group of 20 and wow what an experience. As soon as you arrive and walk through the gates you are transported into a surreal world, little Africa in the West Midlands! The resturant / entrainment room is a wooden African room, complete with authentic furniture, wooden animals and pictures, animal carvings... More

An excellent display of exotic hardy plants creating an attractive undergrowth with hidden African animals - an opportunity for younger children to explore. The walk through aviary and traditional African style bar/restaurant should not be missed. Not to be rushed, the tranquility and ambience can be enjoyed over a meal or drink immersed in the garden environment. This enjoyable experience... More
