Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutly beautiful ❤️ everything about our stay was amazing! We contact them very early as we were not due to check in till 15:00 but had arrived in Preston at 12:00. They were so helpful allowing us to check in early as we didn't want to drag our luggage around while we shopped and at. Everything we needed was her.. All the finest details taken care of from tea bags to wash things! 100% worth every penny we spent and we will be back again. We stayed in the pent house and it was immaculate there is not a single thing we can fault with this place! Highly, highly recommended for anyone. Thank you

What a perfect gem to rest awhile and take in the air. Beautiful surroundings and lovely autumnal colours. Take a butty, sit on a bench, sit on the grass. A retreat seconds away from the busy shopping centre. Fab property surrounding the square. If this was Georgian London this would be multi million pound land ..... here is just so nice you could live by this park for a bargain price.
Well worth discovering for yourself.

Beautiful place to sit and relax on a sunny day. Looks lovely at night with all the lights. Some good cafes near by.

Not safe at any time of day. omeless gangs congregate on the seats. No dogs allowed so the muck on the grass must be from THEM. Doesn't bear thinking about, really.

This is a relatively small park. nice for a stroll or taking a break to rest or munch on a sandwich while you enjoy the greenery. You may like to stop over to take some pics too

**Health Hazard - Human Poo**
Visited with him four yet of son who unfortunately stepped in poo which subsequently got on both him and me. Poo was clearly human poo. Had to buy new clothes immediately then go home and wash thoroughly.
Walked by couple of weeks later and saw more poo and used toilet paper. Clearly an ongoing problem which local authorities need to address.
Real shame as a very fine example of a Georgian Square, which would otherwise make a lovely public space.

Much improved after the expensive makeover. A really nice green square just off the main street in Preston. I like that its not flat as it tips slightly to the south with dip in the middle. The paths have been tidied up and new seats installed. Great for summer days to relax on the grass or the rest of the year to sit in peace. The paths are lit up at night.
Not really seen louts or beggars hanging about since they cleaned up the square. New CCTV was installed so this might be putting them off.
For history buffs, there are informative small plaques on the iron fence surrounding the park telling you about the history of the square and the people who lived there. You can find more on the floor in the square. I think only locals know about this place as its not advertised very much. But worth visiting.

This a small park near the town centre that serves as a lovely place to sit and relax. You can enjoy eating your lunch sitting on one of the ample number of benches within the park when the weather is nice. A little sanctuary in the hustle and bustle of the city

The sun was shining and the greenary was enjoying the kind of weather we all hoped for this time of year - make the most of it while you can, for tomorrow is another day; lets hope there is more to come.

This small park is situated in the middle of Winckley Square at the back of the town center and is just before the entrance to Avenham park. The park is a fantastic place to visit and is full of history and has had detail of its origin carved in to the stone work in a very original manner. Recently improved to a very high standard it is a favorite for squirrels and birds, and also provides great space for picnics or just enjoying the sun.
