Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a great day out in such an iconic aircraft. Nice welcome upon arrival and a tea or coffee whilst chatting with the pilots.
Very informative, thoroughly recommend!!

Bought this as a surprise for my husband’s 50th birthday and he absolutely loved it. Was everything he hoped as per other reviewers who flew have said. From a non-flyer’s perspective I can also say it was brilliant accompanying him. Colette was brilliant in helping with the organisation of the surprise beforehand, and in making our whole family (with 2 teenage boys) welcome on the day. We felt included in the experience by the whole team who were all super friendly and clearly very passionate about what they do - most of them volunteers but all highly trained and safety is their no 1 priority and reassuringly is taken very seriously. Great viewing facility with a nice little cafe & terrace, small shop and the chance to listen in on the (extremely thorough) pre-flight and safety briefing, air traffic control comma during the flight and also lots of interesting info and demos from the ground crew about the aircraft and weapons etc. Plus the chance for our sons to sit in the Huey itself after it had returned from its flight, plenty of time to take pictures on board and so on, so all in all a great experience for all our family. Highly recommend!

Well......what can I say??? The flight crew & the ground crew all said that I would have a smile on my face for at least a week after the flight! They were NOT wrong!!! The smile is still going strong. Though to be fair, the Huey is my favourite chopper so even if sat somewhere without a view I would still have loved it. Fortunately for me I ended up in the middle seat right behind the pilots. (This was great because I could keep an eye on Phil & Neil to make sure they were flying correctly!) Being a keen flyer myself but mainly PC simulators I was stoked to watch the controls being used correctly and in awe of the in-flight, start-up & cool-down processes. From start-up, the waving grass as the rotors turned, the take-off, twisting & turning through valleys, traversing cloud corridors, sharp banks left & right, screaming down the runway at top speed with more waving grass as we finally touched down back at base.......what an experience!!!
Although the Huey (509) is my favourite chopper and taking a ride in a surviving model was one of the best experiences ever......I don't think the day would have been the same without the input of the flight crew & ground crew. On the ground and in the air, the flight crew were great. Serious for the pre-flight briefing and funny, informative & enthusiastic up in the air. My partner who did not take a flight was welcomed in on the pre-flight briefing & all other events and was well looked after by the ground crew and friends of fellow passengers. This was great as she felt she was still included in the day even though she wasn't going up. We both had a great time (up in the air & down on the ground!) and was only sad when we landed and the rotors came to a halt. We would love to do this again as soon as possible and if I won the lottery you would be seeing a LOT more of me!!!
Thank you to everyone involved in our great day and really look forward to seeing you again when possible.
Best regards
Darren & Louise

Absolute amazing experience! Such friendly, welcoming staff and crew. Highly recommended to anyone!
Flown in a few light aircraft before but this was something else.
Can't quite explain in words the feelings you get when you're in such a beautiful aircraft.
Would definitely do again!

That’s one off the bucket list!! What a great set up with helpful, informative and professional people. Having grown up reading Chickenhawk (The Bible, as Neil calls it) it was so fantastic being able to experience the sound, vibration and smooth flying of an original combat Huey. Thoroughly recommended!

Came all the way from Belgium to fly with this iconic aircraft and boy...was I in for a treat. Wonderful , friendly crew. Very professional and at the same time made you feel at ease and enjoy every bit of the experience. Briefing was excellent, they really paid attention to all of us. During the flight we had descriptions of what it would have been to fly combat in 'Nam. Almost felt like it , except nobody was shooting at us. Capt Neil told us in advance of the movements of the aircraft so we wouldn't be spooked. After the 45 min flight we could sit in the pilot's seat and take pictures. We had a lenghty chat with the crew. We were on a schedule so we sadly had to leave. Many thanks to my flight crew ( Colette , Phil and Neil ) and all the ground crew. You made my dream come true.

I had this amazing unique experience as a 50th Birthday present from my wife; and wow what an experience ! in a unique Nam veteran helicopter that's the same age as me ;-) The guys have thought the whole experience through to make it a memorable experience, from the history through to the flight plan itself to make it an unforgettable experience. Thoroughly recommended !

My wife and I had a trip with Phil and his Aircrew, on August 6th and I must say the professionalism of the whole event was perfect.
The Helicopter was an amazing machine and the nostalgia surrounding it is palpable.

Certainly a " White Knuckle Ride" to begin, with but you soon settle in to " Enjoy the Ride"

One word :- Brilliant !!!!!!!!

As a kid the Huey was the focus of many doodles and drawings. An iconic helicopter that has been my favourite. Actually getting the chance to sit in the cockpit and smell the history was fabulous.
From the money you arrive you are made to feel welcome and the crew impart their enthusiasm and knowledge.
The flight is fantastic and I won’t post any spoilers.

Thank you to all the crew and volunteers for a great day.

Thankyou Phil and Neil for a great trip.
