These are actually very good evidence of Roman habitation in Lancaster. I do feel that it is under represented and unexploited. If you are visiting the Maritime museum or any other attraction it is well worth a visit. It is a pleasant walk down from...More

I live in Lancaster, and so have walked past this many many times. There’s no real description or noticeable signs to tell you what your actually looking at. It’s sunken into grass and so honestly just looks like a grassy mound.

An interesting historical site that is worth a stop in the climb/walk up to the castle. Lovingly cared for by the Lancastrian Young Archaeology Club- well done people! The sign has lots of details about the site- definitely worth the walk across the muddy field...More

There's not a lot of Lancaster's Roman Bath House left, and it is a little off the beaten track, but it's worth taking a walk to look at.

but if interested in archiology then a real treat apperently, not worth a visit on its own, but if you have visited the castle and the priory then continue walking down to the quayside, in brief interesting interlude on the way

Interesting little sight. Signposted. Access is by the footpath behind the Priory. Outdoors. Free. Restored by the local young archeology club.
