Good to take the kids, or just for an afternoon stroll. The park has a playground to amuse the little ones and a lake further down full of ducks, geese etc. Grounds are well looked after. A small cafe in the hall stocks a small range of crisps, cakes, rolls etc but is not cheap. The grounds are very undulating... More

It is easy to spend a few hours in the hall and grounds at Cusworth and forget you are so close to Docaster. The grounds are maintained to a high standard and footpath ensure they are accessible all year round. Inside the hall there is a very interesting museum with some changing displays on local and not so local history.... More

The staff here were so nice. The lady took us to places usually reserved for schools only because we took interest, and took the time to show us around the first few rooms. Such a friendly welcome and we weren't pressed for a donation either which was nice. The grounds were beautiful and we had a light lunch and a... More

We haven't visited here for many years but we weren't disappointed. There is the beautiful house to explore, a coffee shop, a lake with a wide variety of wildfowl and beautiful gardens. Lots of people were there walking dogs but no evidence of them underfoot. There are lots of good well made paths as well as grassed ones. The inside... More

I walk my dogs here everyday, we love it. Large grass areas for running my boarder collies. Woodland and gardens and great exercise walking up the hill.
