About
Boston Park Farm is still a traditional working farm, our animal trail allows children to get up close with a wide range of farm animals. You can pet and feed most of the animals and on special days we have animal handling sessions. The whole experience is geared up to suit children up to around 10 years old. We have outdoor play equipment, a mini maze and bale pyramid also inside there is a soft play area which is suitable for babies and toddlers and a large indoor sandpit. You and your child can have hours of fun exploring everything we have to offer here at the farm. We have a Maize Maze which is open from Mid July until the end of October each year. Pleas see our website for admission prices and opening times.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

With a good spruce up this place could be great, at the minute I would say it’s good but that is only because it’s so affordable on price to get in. The front desk staff were lovely & welcoming. There are a fair few animals to see and you can feed most for a couple of quid. I would say though that Most of the animals need more regular hands on maintenance & cleaning throughout the day. Whilst there for 4/5 hours we didn’t see anyone at all doing this. It wasn’t nice to see the donkeys walking around their pen in so much poop. The flies were driving them absolutely crazy & they didn’t look happy at all. It was very smelly (which farms are anyway) Lots of people were commenting on the same

The cafe was average food, not something we would do again. I would recommend taking your own food/picnic. There are lots of tables dotted around everywhere. Again though, some need looking at for repairs

With a few tweaks and improvements would definitely come again

I wanted to like it. It could be a really nice place if it wasn’t so grubby, dirty and run down. It needs a damn good scrub. I have been to farms and I do expect them to smell, but not like this one does. It has many trip hazards, from the rubber matting to walk on around the farm to the raised, unmarked step in the hatching house.
The staff are nice enough, although they do stand around nattering a lot. Maybe get some cleaning done. Everything was just dirty. The outdoor toys were missing pedals, the trailers for the tractors were broken and dangerous. It needs a health & safety check. There are enough staff on site to actually make this place really nice.

Such a lovely little farm perfect for families of all ages. Access for all abilities too. The food is reasonably priced as are the entrance fees.
The animals are well looked after. Some play park areas for children both indoor and outside.
A small shop for souvenirs is available. Perfect for a couple of hours out on the afternoon.

We have been coming here for years but this year was such a disappointment. We did the maze In 10
Minutes whereas other years we have struggled to find maizie. The maze wasn’t high enough, dense enough or big enough. All the flag poles could be seen so you weren’t trying to find how to get to the flag. Very very disappointing

Great day out. Excellent value for money, lots to see and do. The food was really good in the cafe too. We were there hours and could have stayed longer.

Visited today for the family magical day, and was very impressed. My 2 year old niece absolutely loved feeding, petting and seeing the animals. The family magical event was very good, and throughly enjoyed. Definitely worth the money. Nice food from the cafe too!

We had my son’s birthday party here recently and it was such a brilliant morning. The party room was set up with balloons and the price included animal feed for all the children and small animal petting. The kids got to pet a rabbit and a baby goat which was so cute! There was a cold buffet too and the food was amazing. There were no homemade sausage rolls by the end! Unlimited squash too! At the end of the 2 hours all the kids were allowed to make use of the rest of the farm and we had a great time riding the tractors, feeding the animals, swinging and climbing the hay bales. Would definitely recommend!

Its very expensive for how small it actually is. You can be around within an hour easy! And that was with 2 small children in tow. 2 and 5 .

Considering this was a bitterly cold and windy morning - we had a fantastic time here. If you want a bit more of a hands on experience after visiting the nearby Yorkshire Wildlife Park - this place is perfect!

The most important thing first - the animals are extremely well looked after! From the alpacas, to the cows, to the turkeys - all of the animals were friendly (if not to each other, there was a very grumpy Shetland Pony!)

Secondly - there's plenty for the youngsters to do apart from seeing the animals including a sand pit, a bouncy castle, soft play and a large outdoor play area. It will be good to see the place in warmer weather, as it was way too cold to stay for more than an hour (no fault of the farm).

Seems really good value for money for adults at £2.50, but odd that a 1 year old cost more (£4.50)! I'd have a look at this.
