About
Doncaster’s elegant Mansion House has dominated the High Street for over two hundred and fifty years. It is one of only three Mansion Houses remaining in the country, along with those in London and York. Whilst the Mansion Houses of London and York provided accommodation for the mayor as one of their functions, the Bristol Mansion House was built solely as a home for the mayor. Doncaster Mansion House is situated on High Street in the heart of the Town Centre. Visit our website which is listed in the description for details of open days and more.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came here on an open day. Very nice tour with lots of history. The tour was free. The Mansion house is 1 of only 3 in the UK (the others are in York & London)

One of the most beautiful buildings in Doncaster is Mansion House .
The Mansion House is a beautiful Grade I listed building, it's got some serious history attached to it, despite work being delayed on the construction of the Mansion House as Bonnie Prince Charlie's Army headed South, the building was completed in 1749 from 1750 untill 1922 this was the official house of the Mayor of Doncaster, one of only 3 such Mansion Houses remaining in England, it's just one beautiful building and makes for some great photographic opportunities.
Easy to locate on High Street and most definitely well worth checking out.

A fabulous building,with incredible architecture.
Once inside you are taken aback with the decor and the
stories it beholds.

I thought this was awful - the place itself is lovely the afternoon tea was disorganised and looked and tasted mostly shop bought - wouldn't recommend apart from the surroundings - need to up their game

This is a beautiful building (so glad the council haven’t flattened it along with other historic buildings)

We went to a family wedding at the Mansion House today - the Great Kitchen is a wonderful space - light and airy. The Registrar and staff really helpful and kind. A little sign that says doors open 40 minutes before a wedding would be helpful for people unused to this venue, arriving early. Just a minor thing though as the courtyard is beautiful for photographs and the venue really special.

This wonderful piece of architecture sits in the heart if Dincaster town centre.
I've been lucky enough to have gone to a few functions here over the years.
If you do get the chance, pop in and have a look round,I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
