Good Venue but need to cut the drinks queue
Been to this venue a number of times and always enjoyed it, but if you just want a glass of water you need to stand in a mile long queue at the alcohol bar! Please let your ice cream vendors sell bottles of water to avoid this!!!

    Great venue
Great modern venue , seats have to be the comfiest anywhere with plenty of leg room. Friendly , helpful staff , easy access and lifts to all floors. We sat in the main space circle which had a great view of the stage. Toilets were clean and modern , we didn’t use the bar as the queue was horrendous. Plenty of parking nearby , we used the civic quarter car park , 3 or 4 minutes walk and only £1.00 for the evening , even had a real person on duty to help with any queries! Outside are beautiful flower beds and fountains with very pretty lighting. We will be back very soon.

    Steeleye Span Concert.
Saw Steeleye Span last night(8th Nov) at Doncaster Cast. Absolutely superb, Mardy Prior still holds centre stage at 76! Highly recommended. Cast theatre is excellent, brilliant facilities. Have never used the bar, always seems a long queue! Staff very efficient.

    Giovanni delivers again!!
Fab venue and Giovanni put in his usual spectacular and entertaining show. Not a bad view from anywhere in the venue…..but….. if they could do more about shortening the queues for drinks etc, esp during the breaks, I’m sure they’d sell a lot more! Already booked next years show!!

Treat my 86yr old mum to 2 tickets to see thank you for the music at the cast theatre last night for her birthday as she is a big abba fan. Have been to this lovely little theatre several times, and have always enjoyed the experience, until last night! The band were ok but not as good as the original Bjorn again , but the singing wasn't the issue. They encouraged the audience to stand up, dance and wave their hands In front of your face. My mum suffers from sciatica and can't stand for long so we spent the entire second half of the show looking at the backsides of the 3 middle aged women in front of us! At 32 quid per ticket because they were " decent seats" I might has well have gone for the cheapest tickets!

We saw the Rapunzel ballet here on a Friday evening. The performance was great. It was unfortunately let down badly by the very poor management of the venue. Late arrivers were admitted after the show had started and this made it impossible to see the opening parts of the story. Throughout most of the performance, a baby was crying near the front row. Quite why a young mother with what appeared to be a new born baby was in the audience is beyond my comprehension, but I'm equally baffled by the inability of the staff to enforce the 5+ entry requirement and prevent the disruption to audience members.

Excellent evening for the pantomime, staff really friendly.
Prices are as expected for these sort of venues.

Visited cast again for the comedy club, such a fun night as always! Only £14.50 a ticket and soo worth it, not laughed as much in ages! I would recommend getting there early as seating is unallocated so if you don’t want to be near the front you need to be at the front of the queue to get a seat at the back! Facilities were spotless as usual, plenty of choice at the bar although the queue was ridiculous due to 2 shows being on and intervals at the same time! Can’t wait to come back in March for Abigail’s party…We used a taxi this time, but you can park nearby in the civic quarter or opposite Ward Brothers! I would also recommend the Mexican Restaurant Cactus Jacks if your wanting food before a show, it is great food and a lovely atmosphere!

My sister took us to CAST this Christmas to watch the pantomime. We loved it, so funny, great music and amazing to watch an all inclusive cast as their sleeping beauty was deaf. My little girl loved watching the signing and thought it was amazing. Hands down the best panto I’ve seen in a while.
CAST is a beautiful theatre and such a great addition to Doncaster.

My only criticism would be that it need a bit more care, the toilets were very dirty, no soap and paper towels all over the floor by the end of the show and the auditorium and bar had litter on the floor, they needed cleaning staff picking up and cleaning around during the performance.

Please do not let this discourage you as it’s great to support a local theatre, I just wanted to add the feedback so they could improve.

Brought our grandchild to a childrens production during half term. The staff here are always very helpful and engaging. The theatre is just a nice size and very well set out to be able to easily find our seats.
I was a shame on the day that there were no soft child booter cushions, they only had the hard plastic ones which our sen child finds difficult to sit on.
