About
Doncaster Brewery & Tap is a pub in the centre of Doncaster. In the downstairs bar there are 6 cask beers on handpull - the majority of which are brewed on the premises. There are 3 keg beers, one of which is Budvar, and 6 handpulled traditional still ciders. You can also choose from a range of wines, gins, European bottled beers, cans, soft drinks, coffee, tea and there are pub snacks - crisps, nuts and Pork Pies. Upstairs is the Dystopia Bar which is a cosy space with sofas and mood lighting. This bar has 10 keg lines and a fridge full of ever changing cans and bottles from around the world. There is an outside seating area to the rear of the business which is open when the weather suits.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Was in Doncaster for the first league game of the football season between Doncaster Rovers and AFC Wimbledon, and after having a couple of pints in the Leopard, our group moved on to the Doncaster Brewery and Tap.
A real Treasure Trove for real ale and craft beer drinkers!
Wood panel flooring, dimly light room, no tv, piano in the corner, at least a dozen of see real ales and craft beers on tap and fridges stacked full with cans and bottles.... its a Real Ale drinkers paradise!!!!!
We had been drinking in the Leopard all afternoon, and really wish we had spent all our time here.
If back in Doncaster in future, I will most certainly head here to spend all my time.

Hi,
Thank you for your fantastic 5* Review.
We apologises for the late response. Trip Advisor used to email us when we received a review, but they seem to have stopped doing this.
We are really pleased you enjoyed your visit to Doncaster Brewery & Tap and look forward to seeing you again next time you are in Doncaster.
Cheers Alison and Ian

Visited the Brewery Tap on Saturday as the St Leger was postponed, and had a whale of a time.
The beer was outstanding; service was friendly and quick; I didn’t eat there, as I had already had breakfast at my hotel, but the Reubens sandwiches looked glorious and were certainly getting rave reviews from others. And they sell Two Farmers crisps, which are the best on the market in my opinion.
But best of all was the wonderful community spirit. As someone who had never been there before, and sat on my own until my friends arrived, it wasn’t long before one of the regulars, the lovely Mary, came over and had a chat. There is live music and poetry every Saturday lunchtime and it was a vibrant and very entertaining experience- I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m up in Doncaster.

Hi,
Thank you for your fantastic 5* Review.
It was sad that the racing was cancelled, but we are really pleased that you enjoyed your visit to us instead.
We have a great crowd of regulars, Mary being one of them. We would not have survived the Pandemic without their support.
We look forward to seeing you again next time you are in Doncaster.
Cheers

A good pub in the city centre with various beers on cask and keg plus Belgian beer cans/bottles in the fridge. The bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Been in there on several Saturdays and they’ve had a gathering of punters singing songs and reciting poetry. Definitely worth a visit as the best pub in Doncaster Town Centre.

Hi James and Kelly,
Thank you for your fantastic review.
This weekend we have had 5 cask beers on the bar, one more than normal, as things seem to be getting busier again which is quite a relief after the last few years. Hopefully we will soon be able to return to having 6.
We look forward to seeing you next time.
Cheers

My hubby and I were in Doncaster for some non league football and pre game we decided to call in the Brewery Tap. They have 6 hand pulls on, 3 of which were guest beers. There is a bar upstairs for keg beers. We were made to feel very welcome and will certainly be calling in again. As we are members of Huddersfield CAMRA we will be mentioning it to our fellow members. Well worth a visit.

Hi Carol,
Thank you for your fantastic Review. You were lucky to call in when we had the 3 Custard Beers on the bar from Turning Point. My favourite was definitely the Death Matter.
See you again soon.
Cheers

Doncaster seems to have quite a few grotty boozers and this one is equally grotty. It gets 2 stars as the beer was ok but everything else was well below par. It just feels dirty and there was a very strange atmosphere, maybe it’s a Doncaster thing.

Been a regular visitor for 6+ years now and this place just goes form strength to strength. Out of the way of 'the strip' it has a good group of regulars who attend the various events that take place there. A good selection of cask, keg and bottled ales, gins, etc. The proprietors are friendly and very knowledgeable in the subject of real ale.

Hi Ridgaldo,
Thank you for your fantastic 5* Review. We used to get notifications when we had new reviews, but this does not seen to be the case anymore so we sadly missed your Review. However we would now like to make amends by responding now.
It has been our pleasure to have had you as a customer and friend for 6+ (almost 7) years now and it has been because of you and our many fantastic regulars that we are still here.
We look forward to seeing you again soon, maybe on quiz night.
Cheers

If you appreciate the good things in life, enjoy a really good locally brewed Real Ale (they brew on the premises) And enjoy meeting really nice people, this is the place to go whenever you find yourself in Doncaster.
They have a piano for customers to play which I really enjoyed playing.
I am so glad to have stumbled upon it during my recent trip to Donny.
This place is a rare find and highly recommended.

Used the room upstairs to hold a birthday party in the daytime. Could decorate and took our own food. Staff were amazing, stout month meant lovely ales to try. Music at a nice level. We set up a photo corner too for guests. Altogether an amazing afternoon. Approx 30 guests mostly settees some tables and chairs.

We visited Doncaster Brewery & Tap as a last stop before catching our train home from Doncaster. We wished we had booked a much later train! This is a really great pub, really friendly and comfortable atmosphere, excellent selection of beers and ciders. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

My wife and I went to the Brewery Tap on Sunday with two friends, David and Alan, who are regulars. It was only our second visit and we can’t wait to go back.
They have a wide range of beers and ciders (and good lager!) and complimentary cheese, pate and biscuits. The best thing about this place though is the brilliant atmosphere. Everyone was just so friendly.
I agree with an earlier reviewer - five stars are not enough. This is undoubtedly now our favourite place to have a few drinks. Unfortunately, we live 45 miles away so it is not too near for us but we are very much looking forward to our next visit,

Hi,
Thank you very much for your fantastic 5* Review.
We are really pleased that you enjoyed your Sunday visit.
We always have a complementary buffet on a Sunday, also known as Yorkshire Tapas and it is very popular.

Why allow the so called musicians to bring the tone down to cursing and swearing?

Hi Bryan,
I can only apologise for any offence caused by the musicians while you were visiting Doncaster Brewery. This is not the norm.
