Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited with friends, on a sunny day, a delightful town lots to see, packed with tourists as usual. Well worth a visit to see the buildings and architecture, shops very quaint. Every time you visit you make fresh discoveries. Lots of places to eat and drink.
The only downside is the street parking, the place is littered with cars, its almost impossible to park , which is a shame.

Hi John We are so glad you enjoyed the visit to our town. It can get really busy for parking, especially at the weekends. The High School has a big free car park every weekend. We are hoping more general parking is in the pipeline for the town soon. All About Chipping Campden

First trip out since latest lockdown and a visit to Chipping Camden. Perfect weather so it was difficult to park. Quaint shops, plenty of places to eat and drink but Covid restrictions means fewer tables available inside and out. Managed to sit outside for a coffee at DaLuigis which was nice. Within a few miles is Bourton on the Water or Stow on the Wold, both beautiful to visit. Idyllic cottages and surrounding areas. Well worth a visit and there’s Cotswold Farm Park for the children.

I have visited this superb restaurant many times. It is tucked at the end of the high street in stunning Chipping Camden and at the back of the Volunteer, a welcoming inn with a good, well priced selection of drinks.
The Maharaja is unassuming, but cosy and comfortable.
Best of all the food is top drawer, traditional curries and chef specials. Boringly, I usually have a madras, mushroom rice and garlic naan washed down with a cobra or a quality drop of red wine. Delicious. All are reasonably priced served by friendly and helpful waiting staff.
We will return.

The High Street is as pretty a street that I have seen. Very old and predominantly all buildings are cotswold stone. Great mix of shops and eating places. Nice to wander along and admire the age and beauty of the buildings

Lovely lunch. Salad boxes are a full meal in themselves. Staff very friendly. Don’t be put off by no prices outside on the menu as prices really reasonable. Lovely way to finish our morning in this beautiful town.

We stayed with friends at Cotswold House on a Travelzoo offer. This hotel is probably the best maintained old building I have stayed in. No cracks in walls, the plumbing worked fine as did the heating. The staff were excellent and keen to help. The menu and food was equally good.

Quintessentially English with more than a hint of "olde worlde". The high light must be the old market hall still alongside the main road, no bye pass here. Note the disc laid in the floor as the start/end of the Cotswold Way. Extremely popular with everybody but especially our American cousins.

Quiet out of season but plenty of open cafes and other eateries. Not as much on the tourist trail as other places and lacked the souvenir shops - more commercial.

Market Square parking is time limited so take care!

Lovely old buildings and good selection of pubs. Some very nice shops but avoid Sam Wilson where it’s difficult to get service. There’s another Sam Wilson branch in nearby Stowe so just wait and shop there.
Beautiful church at end of street and old covered market at midpoint. Plenty of benches and seats for those who need to rest during walks.
Badger Hall Cafe just superb.

A quintessential Cotswold Village with charming buildings built in the traditional way with cotswold stone. A few shops and tea shops enable you to extend your stay. ( still can't find an egg and cress sandwich though ! ) Well worth a visit.
