6 of us came to the distillery for the 3 hour gin experience. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a gin. It had the right balance of informing and fun and our guide Sherelle was knowledgeable and engaging. It doesn’t look like much from the outside- just like any other industrial unit but they have transformed the interior to a swanky setting. From start to finish we were well looked after and lubricated. My husband had previously been to whisky distilleries but this tour came with many more drinks included. The only downside was that I was hoping to be able to taste some of the botanicals before adding them to my own creation. Nevertheless, I loved every minute and will be looking at booking onto the rum experience in the future.

My husband and I enjoyed a belated 50th birthday present and have already recommended this afternoon to many of our friends. From twenty year olds on their first date to octogenarians celebrating like us, this was an afternoon that appealed to many.

Shirelle our host was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and enthused her audience with her passion.

Loved the tour and learning so much about the history of this tipple; loved the tasting and trying new cocktails (I'm a convert to the Aviation); loved the creation of a new gin (elderflower, lovage and citrus was a hit!)

This small team have only been in business about 4-5 years but they're doing everything right and deserve their success!

We had the most amazing afternoon at City of Manchester Distillery. I took a group of 15 ‘girls’ for my 50th. We couldn’t have been better looked after by Sherel, both in organising the trip and her marvellous hosting of the event. The event started with a G & T, and a video of the history of Manchester and the three rivers, after which their gin is named, followed by a live narrative through the history of gin, brilliantly presented by Sherel. We were then shown downstairs to the distillery, where more gin flowed in the form of a cocktail and a talk and Q&A through gin making, then in to the gin school, with more gin (and yet more gin!) and such a fun session mixing our own flavours and making our personal bottles of gin. What a splendid and memorable way to celebrate with friends and learn some more about the gin making process. I will definitely return for another go! Thank you Sherel and team.

We had an absolute awesome night at The Manchester Three Rivers Distillery. The experience was fantastic from the story of the Three Rivers Gin to making our own Gin to take home with us . Sherel was a great host giving us an insight to how the Three Rivers Gin was created and the story of how Gin was originally created . Adam was a great bar man supplying us with different gin cocktails and the gin and tonics . This is a definite on anyone’s to do list as we certainly couldn’t have had a better evening with two great people . Well done there isn’t anything you could have done better. See you again Ant and Jo xxx

I am now re-ordering the two bespoke gins my wife and I made during our 'Gin Experience' in February! We obviously hit on the right botanicals and now we are completely hooked - in the best possible way!
The reordering is simple and the new bottles are as good as the first ones we made. Sherel is very quick to get back to us and confirm everything is in place and the gin is distilled specially and speedily (and safely) despatched. Can't fault the distillery - or Sherel.

A best friend organised a trip to this distillery and it was a trip I’ll never forget! I love botanical craft gins and this trip gave me the opportunity to make my own 70cl bottle of gin using my favourite botanicals.
We had a friendly welcome and offered a gin and tonic (Three Rivers) as soon as we arrived. The visit started with an informative film about the history of gin and its association with Manchester followed by a tour of the distillery. We were then told we were off to ‘gin school’ and went into a separate building; I’ll never forget the words “come on in ladies, your still is ready and a gin and tonic is waiting for you next to it!” We were shown how to set up the still and add the basic gin ingredients of juniper, coriander etc. We then were given the opportunity to add our own extra botanicals from an array of bottles on the shelves. Everyone had their own still and used an app on an iPad to help give advice and quantities of each botanical. I had brought some of my own home-grown coriander seeds and a sprig of rosemary from my garden which they very kindly allowed me to use, this made my bottle of gin quite personal to me. Whilst distillation was in progress more G&Ts were offered and the whole room had a great buzz and feel to it!! By the end of the afternoon we all left with our own unique bottle of gin.
This is one of the best trip experiences I’ve ever had and if you enjoy gin or considering this as a present for someone else who does then it’s an absolute perfect, brilliant present. Best done with a best friend, family or a group.

I did the online World Gin Event hosted by Sherel. Amazing Gin Cocktails mixes, garnishes and of course the excellent Three Rivers Gin all arrived a few days before the event so I was ready to go. The actual event was a virtual tour due to current social distance restrictions, and I have to say it was very well put together. The host, Sherel, was very knowledgable about all things Gin and Three Rivers and very charming to listen too. The drinks were flowing and laughs were had, I believe this was the first one they have done online and I hope they do more in the near future. I would highly recommend the online events for anyone looking for something different and fun to do.
Can’t until I can go to an actual tour and make my own bottle of gin at the distillery now!

We had booked to go to the Gin Experience for a Birthday treat for my Mum and Dad but had to put it off due to COVID. The communication throughout was excellent and we finally were able to rebook and attend. We had such a fabulous time - thank you to Sherel & Craig for making the experience such fun. The safety measures were excellent and rigourous and we felt very safe throughout. The history of gin and of the City or Manchester distillery was super interesting and we were joyfully supplied with gin drinks throughout! Then making our own bottles of gin was great too!
We would fully fully recommend this experience!! Thanks again.

This gin experience is one not to be missed. We had originally booked for a Sunday afternoon experience, but due to the train been cancelled we was unable to get to the venue in time. I emailed Three Rivers and Sherel was fantastic in working with us to re-arrange our tour date. We attended the Thursday evening experience which was run by Sherel and Craig who's knowledge of gin and friendliness was superb. On arrival you are given a Three Rivers Gin and Tonic and the drinks continued to flow the whole evening, from G&T's to cocktails. We watched a film on the history of Gin and was shown the copper distill named Angel. all the time Sherel was giving her wealth of knowledge and answering any questions we had whilst Craig kept the drinks coming. The best part was when we made our own Gin, Sherel explained how the keypad worked and how to weigh your chosen ingredients. you then go through the process of distilling and bottling your own Gin. We can't thank Sherel and Craig enough for making our Gin experience a truly enjoyable experience. We enjoyed the Gin experience so much that we are now arranging for our family and friends to come with us to attend the Gin School later in the year.

Nearly a year on and we still talk about what an enjoyable and memorable evening we had at our gin experience here.

Our host was knowledgeable and interesting, the setting unusual and exciting, and the drinks were absolutely first class.

Particular highlights for me were the explanation of how the history of gin, Manchester and this company all tie together, inspiring within me a sense of pride in being a Mancunian. Also, the second half of the experience when we moved next door to the Gin School to concoct our own gin: this room was a mix of my old chemistry lab at school and a scene out of a potion class at Hogwarts, a great example of old meets new, very tastefully done.
