Pub Tour: Mix of Old/New and History

I had originally signed up for the music walkabout, but due to low attendance it was cancelled. I was invited to join the pub tour as a consolation prize. It turned out to be a lovely surprise.

Emma Fox was our guide. Not only was she very knowledgeable about the history of Manchester’s pubs and breweries, but she’s a wealth of knowledge about Manchester in general.

She took us to a mix of new and old pubs with a wide range of different alcohol. Definitely saw things I wouldn’t have seen otherwise.

Thanks, Emma. Peveril of the Peak was my favorite too! Fantastic pub.

Beautiful gardens. Great bus service

We went to RHS Bridgewater Gardens with Manchester Sightseeing Tours. The bus pick up point was Manchester Victoria Train Station. The driver was so friendly and helpful. He just made the start of our day out special. One of life’s nice people. The service was great, right to the gardens front entrance. The gardens themselves where beautiful so worth the visit. Lots of good spaces to explore. Good for families with young children also anyone needing wheelchairs paths large and smooth.
Bit of a mistake on getting home which was solved by the Manchester Sightseeing Tours staff , which I am very grateful for thank you.

A brilliant experience, can’t recommend them highly enough. The tour covered so much from founding history to madchester . Helpful, informative and funny! Excellent guide too, thanks George :)

Absolutely shockingly bad service

A birthday trip to RHS Bridgewater ruined after this company failed to provide the bus we'd booked & paid for. We found out later it had broken down, but they didn't tell us know that or make alternative arrangements for us. We made our own way there (& are now awaiting to be reimbursed). We were then promised that the return bus was fine, but that never came either. No communication. No apology. Completely incompetent & utterly appalling. Not the fault of RHS Bridgewater which was a lovely place

Great tour.
I have done a lot of stadium tours and this was a good one to do as it had a real tour guy instead of a headphone tour

Given the weather is miserable this time of month we weren’t sure of sight seeing tours were operating but luckily enough we were able to do one! Only negative is website is not clear on pick up points especially Piccadilly gardens stop and we nearly missed it.
Over all a good tourist experience and would happily recommend to others. Lots to learn about a great place.

Day Trip to the Lake District (Grasmere, Cruise and Beatrix Potter)

My friend and I enjoyed an excellent day out to the lakes thanks to Manchester Sightseeing tour company! Neither of us had been before and wanted the ease of someone organising the trip for us. The representative was very knowledgable and gave us some great tips for our visit! They answered all our questions and made us feel at ease during our day out knowing they were at the other end of the phone if needed. The fee covered all of our tickets for each attraction and provided an itinerary which was also flexible so we were able to enjoy dinner before coming back to Manchester.A jam packed day out we throughly enoyed. Will be booking again, thank you Manchester Sightseeing!

Day Trip to York & Alton Towers Amusement Park

Manchester SightingSeeing Tour company Is a very knowledgeable and reliable tour company. The greeting staff is fantastic and made me feel comfortable about each tour I took. I selected the “York / Cathedral / Viking” & “Alton Towers Resort” tours both were worth the time and money. For the York tour your fee covered the train trip along with major site entry fees. The tour gave me flexibility on my return train trip which gave me more time to explore York. For amusement park junky’s like me, Alton Tower tour provided train travel, personal car service between train station & amusement park along with enter fee. Alton Towers gives the U.S Theme Parks very strong competition...

I wished I had more time to take other tours provided by Manchester SightSeeing Tours

Brilliant Liverpool Day trip!

This was one of the highlights of my visit to the North. I met the Manchester Sightseeing staff member at the train station in the morning and they went through the entire day in detail explaining the day and the tickets provided. It was great because it had a full daytrip made up with maps and and itinerary with tickets and suggestions for places to eat and drink, but the flexibility to go off it if you wanted to spend longer at certain attractions (which I did at the Liverpool Docks!). I heading back later than I thought too but it was all good as I had completely filled my day and my train ticket was flexible. Wonderful trip and I would book another trip with them again. :-)
