Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Comedy Store is the place to be. With its cozy and lively atmosphere, this comedy club is the perfect escape from the everyday routine. The talented line-up of comedians will have you ROFL with their witty jokes and hilarious stories. From stand-up, improv to sketch comedy, there's something for everyone. The drinks and snacks menu is reasonably priced and adds to the overall experience. My only complaint would be the limited seating, so do arrive early to grab a good spot.

The comedy store was located downstairs in the Bierkeller with long benches perpendicular to the stage. Much less comfy and engaging than it used to be when this show was located at Deansgate Locks.
We had to queue for around 25 minutes before the show for drinks with some of the bar staff being very slow and seemed understaffed and overall was too long.
Of the 4 comedians 3 were ok with a few giggles but nothing more than that and we were hoping for more from the £20 each we paid (7 of us). The exception was Connor Burns who was very good.
Overall I would not return nor recommend unfortunately as it used to be a good night out.

Unfortunately due to the reviews I was weary of the venue and comedians, but I purchased the tickets anyway. We both had a fantastic evening, there was 3 comedians on and a compère. 2/3 comedians were very funny, unfortunately one fell a bit short of the mark. I found the venue to be vibrant, and the drinks were spot on. I had seen reviews dismissing the venue but I couldn’t find an issue. Overall a great night, wish it would have been on for longer. The full show lasted about 2 hours. Well worth the money.

New venue at Bierkeller Manchester wasn’t great ! Table layout meant you had to twist around to see the act.no support for your back. The audience felt disconnected.
I was really disappointed as the old theatre style venue was much better and what I was expecting! , I won’t be going back,
The acts were unprepared and really didn’t have a routine to deliver . Very poor show apart from the MC who was somewhat funnier than the three other comedians,

Third time visit to the comedy store and first time at the new venue Bierkeller print works !! Sorry guys venue is rubbish not a patch on the old venue, cricked neck to see the so called comedians! On our visit sat the 4 th absolutely rubbish not funny at all same as the compère. Lazy old jokes and set from all nothing topical , most material could be heard by any basic comedian disappointed, it didn’t help that you could hear the disco music from the next room, toilets were disgusting 🤮 men’s and apparently were the women’s , bring back the old venue and some decent acts! Sorry won’t be back here, it’s sad because last 2 visits we loved it!

1st time visitor to Comedy Store , we took a group of 12 people for a birthday celebration.
Really poor service in terms of getting drinks, very poor signal in there so ordering from table QR code is virtually impossible.
1 of the comedians took a dislike to our table because some of the girls where chatting (quietly) he actually called the doorman over at 1 point, clearly he was rattled but he handled the situation very badly.
We decided to move our table from the front to the back of the room
The doorman came over to us about 15 times seriously overstretching their remit , talking to us like dirt for whispering. We decided to leave 45 minutes early, purely thinking of the doorman's safety because they where very close to crossing a red line. Telling us to STFU , for whispering that no other table would hear.
I will never visit this place again , would not recommend it to anyone. The whole party felt robbed by them.

Excellent. Can’t wait to see it again!
Unsure if it’s the same one (the logo is the same) but we visited the Old Fire Station to see the travelling Comedy Store - what a night!!! It’s important to remember that the comedians are just starting out, trying to make it in the world. IMO 2 out of the 3 will definately go places (I’m sure I have seen the 3rd comedian on TV - Joan?? Maybe 8 out of 10 Cats??). However the show was absolutely made complete by the Compere, Dave. We are heading back in December to see the show again and very much hope Dave is there again! (Thanks for the selfie, Dave!)

Booked to see Milton Jones on 17/07 in Leamington Spa, was postponed until 31/07 same venue due to COVID restrictions… was sent a promo for different nights and noticed Milton Jones is playing in Coventry on 31/07 ???How can he play in 2 places at the same time…. The biggest comedy of it all is trying to contact The Comedy Store to sort it out, Absolute joke!!!!

Funny bunch of comedians on the night visited, don’t choose to sit near the front if you don’t like a joke or too. Excellent night, great laugh

It is usually around 10.45 to 11pm. I think there is an 11pm curfew from memory and the bar stays open till 2am on a Saturday.

If you have booked a 7pm show it finishes at 9.30. And there's a lovely tapas/Mediterranean taverna called dimitris just round the corner on deans gate. You might need to book and they're open til 2am

When New Stuff is on it can get really full but we’ve been when it’s basically half empty. It depends what else is on and whether any hen parties or such like have booked. We tend not to book unless we go with a group. Hope this helps.
