Manchester Arena, managed and operated by SMG Europe, is one of the busiest venues in the world and the largest indoor arena in Europe.

Since opening in 1995, the Arena has hosted the biggest names in live entertainment including U2, The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Pavarotti and the record-breaking 2010/2011 residency by local comedian Peter Kay.

In addition to live music, we've also staged some of the biggest events in the UK sporting calendar including several 2002 Commonwealth Games' events, the 2012 Olympic basketball warm-up match between team USA and GB, the 2008 FINA World Swimming Championships and international boxing bouts by Mike Tyson, David Haye, Joe Calzaghe and local champions Ricky Hatton and Amir Khan.

We've also played a key part in Manchester's rich musical heritage with historic shows by local bands Take That, Oasis, Elbow, New Order, James, Happy Mondays, The Charlatans, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, M People, Doves, The Inspiral Carpets, The Verve, Simply Red and The Courteeners.

Attracting over one million visitors each year, the 21,000 capacity Arena is a former winner of the industry's prestigious International Venue of the Year award.

Good layout and you can see the stage where ever you are sitting but drink and food prices are ridiculous so go for food before you go in.

I've seen a few concerts/shows here and each one I've really enjoyed. It's well set up and plenty of food outlets. It's staging is well set up and plenty of seating. First choice venue for any concerts I would like to see.

We have been to half a dozen concerts here over the last 2 or 3 years, the acoustics are so poor we have started seeing acts at venues in other cities if we possibly can. The problem is that the venue was designed as a sports arena and has a sheet metal roof, that roof really rattles when the act... More

We have been here for many shows and find it to be a great venue. The access booking line is excellent, Only downside is the lift access. The one nearest the entrance when leaving the venue is very dark. we use the station entrance.

Came here to see Jack Whitehall on 18th February and had a wonderful time. The security we spoke to were all helpful and showed us where to go, whilst the merchandise staff were also very lovely and even gave us an excellent deal that we would have missed if it wasn't for him pointing it out! Once we were inside... More

we went to the Saturday afternoon show , its still full but we like to get lunch before hand and its not quite so manic getting out of the car park . We normally prebook and we are usually out in the first 10 mins. Our seats this time were on the dance floor and were great , we had... More

Went to see the Pet Shop Boys here. Wasn't overall impressed by the show, but the venue was very good. Unfortunately £11 for a beer a coke and a pack of sweets was disgusting, especially as I had spent £3 for a beer and coke just half an hour previously not half a mile from the venue!!!

Having never been before we didn't quite know what to expect but the organisation was brilliant, the steps down to the floor are pretty frightening with no hand rail to hold but we did manage. The food and drinks are expensive but thankfully we had been for a meal beforehand. We went to see the PET SHOP BOYS who were... More
