I did think that there was a good amount of shops and places to eat, it's a fab place to have as a meeting point and some days they have street food/stalls out.

Bleedin busy all the time and unless you really need to use this street DON'T. Full of plenty of homeless (no disrespect, just an unfortunate fact)/users/dodgy traders.

Whilst not the trendiest area it is very much at the centre of the city and has a plethora of shops. It also has a metro stop right there. There are also lots of fast food places and a couple of hotels close by.

A strong area for shops, and eateries. It does have heavy footfall so extremely busy on Saturdays . In addition there are a number of talented street musicians to listen too as well.

What can you say, surprised its on really to review that is. Its quite a long street, very busy and hosts the normal high street shops in the main. Well worth a stroll but dont make it a must do!

Nice walk down the Market street. The people in Manchester are ever so nice and friendly. There is a good food market at the end of Market str. in Piccadilly garden

A typical busy pedestrianised shopping area. Gets very busy on weekends and bank holidays, and can be difficult to navigate. I usually tent to avoid it.

I love this place. Have been here so many times over the years ! The view I think for me is very good due to the fact that an incredible amount of space has been created for the tram lines. You can just look around...More

I’ve lived in Manchester for 18 years and the area continues to deteriorate. The number of homeless increases, beggars, cart sellers, sales people, religious shouters - the whole street becomes unfriendly and often scary. The council and police need to do more. I would not...More

Hi Jean-Marc, I don't know either. Knowing the council you probably do! Like David I suggest you use the city council website. Good luck Patchycat
