A great building, full of history. Busy, eating, drinking, talking. Then the Production. I remember both films and my father surprisingly laughing at the original film.

Never been to the Royal Theatre before, it is situated within the exchange, at first looks like a metal meccano set . Once in the theatre it is round, wherever you are sat in any part of the theatre the whole of the stage is...More

We paid our first visit to the Royal Exchange yesterday and were blown away. What an extraordinary building, in the vast and impressive setting of the former Manchester cotton exchange - looks almost like a futuristic spacecraft or huge metal sculpture that's just landed amidst...More

Love this theatre. We have been many times. This time to see "The Producers". Wondered how that would work in the round...the answer is brilliantly well. Due to the size of the theatre and its circular nature you are right in the action. Definitely a...More

Intimate feeling theatre space. The Royal Exchange is a beautiful building and it’s great that it’s used to provide high quality theatre in the North. There is a cafe and bar. The website is easy to use.

I always prefer to sit on the front row of the 1st tier (i.e. up stairs looking down on the action.) As long as you book in advance, I've seldom had a problem getting the seats that I want. Great theatre, enjoy.

As the theatre is so small , all the seats are pretty good , we prefer the stalls , and if you don't like heights they are your best bet.
