Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is something we would 100% recommend.
It was really fun , challenging ( we had to use hints )
We’ve seen things in Manchester that we didn’t even know existed!
This is a great idea and so well executed.

This was THE BEST part of our trip. My family of 5 of which included my hubby, our 13 yo, 21 yo and 22 yo thoroughly enjoyed it. All of us enjoyed it which says a lot for my family (they're very hard please).
Would recommend 100%

We were in Manchester visiting our daughter and wanted something to do before meeting up. This was a great way of seeing some sights and finding out a bit of Manchesters history.
The weather was kind and we really enjoyed it, we struggled with a few of the clues but that is what makes it interesting.
We had lunch at the recommended post Q10 spot which was lovely.

We have never been to Manchester before and so we thought a treasure hunt would be a fun way to see the city.

It was so much fun! and it is so clever as it guides you around places that we would never have known existed, it takes you to the calmer more pleasant areas away from the crowds.

We learnt so much and really looked at architecture and appreciated how Manchester has become the city it is today.

Congratulations to the creators, a fabulously clever idea!

Great way of getting the family to walk and absorb some history without them really noticing! The kids (8 & 11) enjoyed the clues and looking for the answers, and even listened to some of the history/information as well!

Only had one day to explore Manchester and this was a brilliant medium to see and experience the culture and bustle of life around the city. In some aspects, the hunt only barely scrapes the surface of all the treasures around the city but it’s an excellent introduction to so many attractions that you can delve into more deeply at your own time. I will be seeing the John Rylands library more thoroughly next time i’m in the city!

Notes to future explorers, you CAN finish the route in about 2.5 hours but I would give it 3-4 hours *at least* to be able to appreciate the route around the city that the maps direct you through. Me and my friend left on our journey a bit too late in the afternoon and the darkness of October evenings caught us too quick, so two or three of the last places on the map required more efficient observations on our part in order to understand the clues. This is not a fault on the creator’s part, they definitely DID warn us about trying this in the dark. In hindsight, the cover of darkness just added an exciting layer of difficulty to our adventure but I will be visiting these places again in broad daylight!
This was an amazing experience, would highly recommend!

Did this for a team building session - 5 of us - and despite being a rainy day in Manchester it was a great activity for us to do together!

Really good tour of Manchester city centre with some interesting sites and some nice information providing a bit of historical context. I did it with my 17 year old daughter and it was really enjoyable. Took a bit more than a couple of hours. I have lived in Manchester for nearly 20 years and still learnt a lot seeing some places that I didn’t knew existed.

We had a great day with the treasure hunt, thank you. We had time to kill in Manchester whilst our daughter was at Comic Con. We explored parts of the city we probably wouldn’t have found otherwise, like the canal basin.

It can be done at your own pace so we enjoyed being able to linger at points where something else may have caught our eye or just have a break for lunch or a drink.

The only feature that I did find frustrating was the multiple texts between each clue, I would have been happier to receive one text with all of the history in it, but that’s a minor detail. I would certainly recommend it to visitors and locals and I will be looking for something similar when I visit other cities.
