Now a Raddison Blu hotel there is not much to see except the exterior. It is however located between the Town Hall and Deansgate so if you in the area it is worth walking past just to say you have seen it for its historical connections.

We only looked from the outside, but if you're interested in architecture its definitely worth the walk to lokk at it.

The Free Trade Hall in Peter Street, Manchester, England, was a public hall constructed in 1853–56 on St Peter's Fields, the site of the Peterloo Massacre and is now a Radisson hotel. The hall was built to commemorate the repeal of the Corn Laws in 1846. The architect was Edward Walters.] The hall was owned by the Manchester Corporation. It was bombed in the Manchester Blitz and its interior rebuilt. It was Manchester's premier concert venue until the construction of the Bridgewater Hall in 1996. The hall was designated a Grade II* listed building on 18 December 1963.

The Free Trade Hall has been demolished. Only the impressive facade remains. Everything behind has been pulled down and replaced by the Edwardian Radisson Hotel. I remember it for Halle concerts political meetings and rock concerts. A huge loss.

I've no idea why this is listed, as all you can see is the facade on Peter St. It's a meeting point for those of a cetain age, and a stopping point for tour guides. Go down the street to the left of it, and you'll find the entrance to the Radisson. The guy from Kuwait has pasted Wikipedia word for word, so you may wish to walk 50yds to the amazing central library to check the facts. Enjoy x

The previous writer is quite correct, this IS now a hotel. But care has been taken to preserve the opulent facade and the Free Trade Hall remains an impressive building. It's just that it now has a different purpose.

We have spent many an hour or three at the Free Trade Hall.
The facilities are first-class and the seating is comfortable.
Perhaps it could be improved with a decent restaurant befor and after performances.

A seamless check in and pleasant welcome for our anniversary night stay, lovely room on 9th floor (901). The room was superb, we could not fault it We headed out for dinner but had late drinks in the bar. Thanks for a brilliant stay, we loved it.

This our second visit to Free Trade hall.Everything is perfect to walking through the door until leaving .Nothing is too much trouble .All staff are polite and cheerful.Our room was wonderful ,breakfast was delicious and nutritious .I finished my short break by a relaxing swim

I came up for a long weekend and had a really good time here. The staff are very welcoming and any questions we had about where to eat they were very accommodating. The rooms are lovely and the spa is even better! Would highly recommend!

It's about 20 mins walking, but it's not straight forward if you are new to the area. Postcodes to google map the directions are M3 1WY to M2 3NQ.
However, it's possibly better to pickup up the metro from Victoria Station to St Peters Square (11mins)... then walk the 100yds down Peter St.
Enjoy your visit.
