Since its renovations this small gallery is a gem. A good collection with a good range of visiting exhibitions. The building itself now lives in the park at the back and side. We will return in summer.

I hadn't been here since the recent(ish) refurbishment, so was very impressed by the results. It's a wonderful exhibition space, and the use of subtle lighting and minimalist decor creates a very pleasing effect. The fact that the excellent Andy Warhol exhibition was free was a definite bonus!

We loved the building and the gallery spaces are just superb. As we are not lovers of modern art, the exhibits were not really for us. I suppose for more sophisticated people, the gallery experience would be more appealing.

A wonderful space, lots of interesting exhibitions, recently saw the Warhol exhibition which was nice to have in Manchester. It is amazing there is no entrance charge, so much to see and lovely cafe to enjoy fabulous food with a great view.

Went with my daughter to see the Warhol Exhibition. The whole gallery is a lovely restful space to walk around. Staff were friendly and laid back, good gift shop and excellent cafe. The building is beautiful from outside and inside has been altered and added to to create light and airy spaces to display the collections. Really enjoyed the visit.

a great place tovisit and while away a couple of hours. Entry is free, and when we went there was an Andy Warhol exhibition, as well as as Raphael and a couple of others. It is well laid out and modern inside, with plenty of space to look at the pictures.

Even though thus Art Gallery is on the edge of the city, it is most certainly worth the small effort of travelling to visit. The downside is the lack of a dedicated car park. We found a spot for 2 hours in the adjacent street. This meant keeping a close eye on the time but as it is not a... More

I wish that I could write separate reviews for the gallery itself and then the cafe. The gallery is superb. The Andy Warhol and Portraits exhibitions in particular are stunning. The building itself is very impressive. I would strongly recommend a visit and I plan to go again in 2017 when the exhibits have changed however I will not be... More

On behalf of The Whitworth Cafe, I would like to apologise for the poor experience you had with us on this particular day. It is no excuse, but we we're a lot busier than expected and it is clear that your visit suffered as a result of that. We work hard to give good customer service so it is especially... More

I love to visit this art gallery. It is spacious, and beautifully designed. We recently went to view the Andy Warhol artist rooms collection which was great but we were pleasantly surprised by other artists works discovered there. The building itself is beautiffully designed and a perfect space for showcasing art. The cafe also has great quality food for brunch!... More
