Spent several hours wandering around in here, such an interesting place. The cafe is really nice with good prices which was a bonus. Even managed to bump into an old work colleague!

This visit was prompted by the special of Scandinavian arts and crafts. In itself it was fascinating, but what added to the intrigue was that many of the exhibits had been acquired by the gallery itself over several years and therefore made it possible to...More

The art gallery is not too big, but it has a beautiful collection. The entry is free of charge, which is a plus. It is well located and definitely a must to those visiting Manchester.

Manchester Art Gallery is not only a fantastic old building filled with excellent art but it’s also free admission. What’s not to like.

Visited 2 times in 2018, beautiful building and a cosy gallery space inside. 1,5 - 2 hours needed to properly enjoy the art. Will aim to visit again on my next trip to Manchester.

We have visited a number of times because there is an interesting large space that is dedicated to children. Also of course the art itself is excellent. A good restaurant on site too

We are really happy to get such positive feedback on the Clore art studio. You can also go to the information desk and borrow an explorer toolbelt - it helps the children to connect and explore the details with our collection.

Perfect peace in the middle of town for a sit and a play with the toddler and a tasty coffee. Easy access, relaxed, friendly and sweet shop.

Dropped on to see this Gallery on a wet morning. Pleasantly surprised to find we could join a ‘ mindfulness’ class for 30 minutes over lunchtime focusing on one particular painting of Lowry. Really enjoyed this. Then focused on the special exhibition on Annie Swynnerton....More

Walk if the weather's nice - 15 minutes top. But the tram is a wet-weather option.
