Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely love this, as our go to place at the weekend after a full on week at work. Chilled and the most friendliest staff including Anna and Katie, nothing is too much trouble , and perfect, delicious food/service and you are made to feel you are someone special on these uncertain times . If you want to feel special this is the place to be . Love you guys and thank you xx🥰

This is a lovely square, serviced by trams so easy to walk to and easy to get to by public transport. Around the square you can find a variety of things to do and places to eat.

The central library and central Art gallery are certainly two of our favourite pass times when visiting Manchester.

Albert Square is the main square located in the center of Manchester, one of the most important buildings in the center of England. In the square there are some important buildings like the gothic town hall, the Albert Memorial (the husband of Queen Victoria) and other statues. Really, it is very nice. Also, there are a lot of shops, bars and pubs in the surroundings and nowadays it is a commercial zone. When I visited this place, at the beginning of December, it was on works, so I could only walk in some parts of the square. I would like to return and see this place without works.

This is focal point of the Manchester Christmas markets.
Even though the works to the Town Hall restricting the space available, the square was still packed with stalls, ranging from food merchandise from various European countries, artisan crafts as well as numerous take away food stalls and bars.
It's packed in the evenings and at weekends but it's well worth spending a view hours there.

This square is effectively shut currently as repairs to the buildings are being completed. I'm sure it will be fantastic again in the future but it has been this way since August 2023 and possibly earlier. An interesting way to spend public money

It's that time of year again when we start to think about visiting the annual Christmas Market in Manchester. Later year (December 2011 ) We were so disappointed - the atmosphere was not good, prices have inflated out of all proportion( Bratwurst thrice the price of the genuine item in Germany)
Drink prices way over the top, £3+ for a Gluewein, I think not !
We won't be going again if the prices dont moderate.
The German stalls were even manned by Polish people- nothing at all against the Poles, but let's be authentic !

What a wonderful selection of different stalls to visit, very interesting, loved the food variety esp the huge fire for sausages being cooked, so many chocolates.... just a great time to wonder around and relax even with the light drizzle

Brilliant atmosphere. A crowd of us came from Wales for an evening at the Bridgewater Hall ( superb) and a meal at the Yang Sing (not quite so good) The Albert Square market is now a well established Manchester tradition and it just gets better and better. Next year we have decided that we will cut out the expensive meal and eat on the Square from the variety of establishments there

This is such a great display and is being ruined by unorganized council .I know it was shown on big screens around the city and agree with crowd management.but to have a system where people are let out of the square once it is fensed off but not let the same number in that are leaving seems very unorganized.lots of disappointed families
