Only a quick visit this time around as we were pushed for time, but again didnt fail to delight. Wonderful art works from around the UK and Manchester areas. Nice little cafe with seating in and around the atrium gives it a real community/village feel.

We had a general wander round the MCDC and there's some gems hidden away in here. Didn't stop at the cafe.

Went to try to find a unique gift for my sister’s birthday. Had had lunch nearby and saw the centre. Never been inside before. It’s two floors of designers and craftspeople who have outlets. Often these are shared with others so there is lots of variety. I found an embroidered piece from seeing it in a glass cabinet downstairs advertising an outlet upstairs. There was also an interesting exhibition called Misshaping Peterloo. A commemoration of the 1819 Massacre at Peterloo. Pieces were for sale too very good. Plates figurines and jugs . Will definitely return here

Even if the products are not to everyone's taste it's always a pleasure to see so many people committed to their crafts in this kind of community atmosphere. And a lovely old building. There's a cute little coffee shop too.

Lots of craftspeople and their studio/shops. Plenty to look at and to buy. Very definitely worth a visit.
