Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely disgusting staff behaviour. As I was asked to take my beverage out of skatepark bounds I obliged instantly. Incidentally, I left my jacket in the park so I went to retrieve it, Johnny Rose proceeded to violently confront me exclaiming off the top of his voice “What did I just f-ing say” he manhandled me out of the skatepark getting very upset. I asked what kind of customer service is this and he responded “You’re a pr*ck” “you’ve been coming here being a pr*ck for 5 years”. He then later came back and tried to apologise blaming this ridiculous outburst on a bad day. With the nature of this attack of character, I find that to be a poor excuse.
There should be no tolerance for this un-hinged, ludicrous staff behaviour.

I go to Projekts for their roller skating day (quads, not inline) basically every Monday. The venue itself is really good and clean and I love how they also help out with skate maintenance. However, if you are an adult new to skating (like me) and want to go there to receive coaching it’s really not well organised as there are only 2 quad coaches and their time gets taken up by the children (and the parents who hang about the skatepark very much in the way).
As you barely get any coaching, I believe £10 just to use the facility is way too high considering there are roller skating groups that offer spaces for £4 (no coaching but easier to get peer support than at Projekts). As a new skater, not having structured learning can be very daunting (and frankly boring) to be at this skate park as you really don’t know what to do or even get to meet many of the skaters as there’s no introductions done at the start and everyone ends up doing their own thing separately.
The quad coaches are lovely but I believe they get little to no guidance from management on how they should lead classes/coaching for adult beginners. Management seem to ask coaches to place more importance on teaching the children, in which case I would suggest you have a day just for children as us beginners are in their way as much as they are in ours.
I would happily pay the tenner if it was a well structured class. I believe this could be achieved by firstly using the middle section for the coaches to gather anyone who is beginner in order to introduce themselves to the group (like what the skateboard coaches do on women’s skateboarding day) and to do a briefing on what will be taught in each section of the park. I would also suggest dividing the skatepark into learning sections, by level and type of skate (back left for experienced skaters/inlines that need little to no coaching and middle and right sections for coaching and beginners to do drills instructed and overseen by the coaches).
This lack of structure has now put off two of my friends from going to Projekts (and from taking up skating altogether which is annoying and sad) as it is really not a welcoming space at all for adult beginners and very expensive to just hang around waiting.
As for the little coaching I have received, I still believe it’s not well structured and it doesn’t follow a clear learning path. Coaches are experienced skaters but not teachers per se. Now, this does not mean they are not absolutely lovely I just believe if you as a venue are going to claim “all quad levels welcomed, coaching provided” then you should invest in giving your coaches teacher training for them to have the skills to coach beginner adults and for you to charge a tenner.

I have been coming to the park with my 9 year old for about a year now. The whole experience has been first class. Each and every coach and staff member are always polite, helpful and provide great support and coaching to my son: special mention to Vic and Elsie for their coaching sessions. Oh and the coffee and brownies are scrumptious. Hope the latest lockdown is temporary and doesn’t impact the park too much or for too long

Super helpful staff !
Wonderful coffee in just perfect mugs ! Lol
Most importantly friendly atmosphere .
Came with my teen and her friend who just started skating in lockdown . Staff took the time to help them and the ramps are just brilliant for a beginner or improver .
Split into 2 sections , one more flat with bumps and small ramps the other looks kore advanced ( sorry I’m new to the terminology )
Feel very blessed to have this like 30 min drive from our home .
Highly highly recommend
Parents ( bring a coat if your watching as it’s a bit breezy!)

If I could give a zero I would. The blonde girl (supervisor) is the rudest person I’ve ever met. EVERYTIME I’ve been in, there’s been an issue with her being rude and snappy towards people. Ruins the whole vibe of the place when all the other staff are so lovely. It’s a shame, I literally resent bringing my daughter here incase she’s in. Not the only person to say this either!!!

Took my 6 year old son at the weekend for a first time visit. Just loved the place. A really good vibe. All abilities but everyone seemed tolerant and cool. Great park. Viewing areas. Food, drink (including alcohol). So a flyer while there for the adults coached session 7-9pm on Weds. went this week as a complete novice and could barely stand on a board. Session split into separate groups dependant on ability and requirement. Lucas was awesome. Great guy, patient, explained every element. While nowhere near a smooth comfortable skate yet. Was really happy with the progress in one session. Will definitely be going again. Couldn’t find a negative.

Brought my 9 year old daughter for a private lesson, which I joined in, with Elsie. We both loved it. Got there early really approachable staff. Elsie was fantastic she put us both, particularly me, at ease. My daughter loved it and we have booked to come back for one of the group sessions, highly recommended!

My wife and I booked a private skateboard lesson as a birthday treat. I can skate but my is a complete beginner. I honestly can’t express enough how impressed we were with our instructor Louie. He effortlessly catered for our wildly different abilities and really made our day. We both came away stoked and keen to return.

Took my brother (12) to a private skateboarding lesson, with Olly. My brother had an awesome time and wants to come back asap!
Really friendly and approachable staff, lovely well stocked Cafe and large viewing area upstairs to watch.
I think I'll try it next time too!

I know it's mostly under the flyover but does it stay dry in the rain? Thinking about travelling up next time it's wet where I am during the day as there don't appear to be alot of skateparks open when the kids are in school
